The Russian mediums are the best in terms of being well balanced between mobility, firepower and protection. The T-28 is tough because of its huge size and thin armour, but the T-34 and all following tanks are great, when fully upgraded.

I would recommend trying the other countries too, however.

I've managed to ace all US mediums bar the M3 Lee and M48 Patton. And that line is very good too.

Not as well armoured or mobile as their Russian counterparts, but they are great tanks that can take on any other mediums 1 vs 1. Hull down is one key tactic to master.

British mediums, I'm at tier VIII now. These are good too, Centurion is big and a bit sluggish. Alpha damage not big, but rate of fire is excellent and that 20pdr is very, very accurate.

Different tanks, different playstyles, so I'd try them to at least tier VI level. That doesnt take too much XP or credits, but gives you a good insight in to how they play.

If U need to pick one - i.e. your first - medium line, choose Russian medium line. I liked T-28 a lot, T-34 was OK and T-34-85 is super. What I have read/heard so are the next ones in the line.

Ooh they can be fun. But hard to play too. Russian and US are more forgiving.

Just love the leopard line. Driving a serious sport car with an awesome gun. The problem is one tactical mistake (front to front) and u dead. And it is almost impossible to earn credits, often - even in a good match- u end up even.

Just love the comet tough when fully upgraded. More forgiving. The top Fv tank seems like a very balanced all-rounder.

T 62 looks awesome, like a leopard with armor..

As a driver (and personally a big fan of) the British mediums, I can tell you that they're absolutely ace! Every tank from the Cromwell to the centurion mark 7 is fantastic in its own way, the FV4202 takes a little getting used to, because you loose that troll gun mantles from the centurions, and the turret, in return is not Ll that great, but once perfected, it's a brutal machine.

Although the British mediums are very good in their own ways, as I've said, they are very difficult to drive if you're a new player, they usually lack armour, and in the case of the high tier ones, speed. As a result, picking the British mediums as your first medium line is probably not the right choice.

For a more rounded line of tanks, you want the soviet mediums, they are easy enough to play, and are usually quite forgiving, good speed and manourvrability and as with most Russians, good turret armour. They often have a selection of different guns (T-44 and the T-54) so you can sort of coustomise them too.

US mediums, I haven't payed, but are quite similar to the Brits, German mediums are different still, playing more like agile TD's, having little armour, but every accurate guns, an unusual medium play style.

In conclusion, start with the soviet mediums, and see how you get along, then try maybe the Brits or the Americans or move onto a German line if you get bored, hope this helps!

The most new user friendly is russian line. But when you understand the logic of playing mediums. They are all good.
