Ciao Irma,

already at the Panther II? Jesus, that was quick! Need some credit to buy Panther I - for the rest I have enough experience.

Looking forward to the top gun and I loved the VK - let's see how one of the most legendary tanks in the world behaves!!

Yes, well I did cheat and free XP:ed the Panther II, also paid gold to train crew to 100%. Shameful, I know, but I just couldn't wait to get my hands on that 88 L/71. It is easily one of the best looking tanks in the game.

Also, be aware that the top gun on the Panther I has a lower ROF than the 7,5 L/70. If you do a lot of flanking and mainly shoot side shots, it might work better for you. If you enjoyed the VK (M), I would suggest you stay with the L/70 because it's more of the same, only faster. Do try out the 8.8 L/56, if you don't land a lot of shots, the higher Alpha may be your thing. If you find you like the 88 better than the 75, stick with it, do not upgrade to the L/100 once researched.

I'd love to platoon when you get your new Panther I, just let me know!

I found the L100 suited me the best, although it looks a bit ridiculous the extra 50mm pen on both standard and APCR combined with 0.32 accuracy made a superb sniper, and will go through tier 9's like butter- it has 2mm less pen than the tier 9 t54's D10T-2C.  As you stated its fast in a straight line but turns like an oil tanker at speed and I found brawling close up was not playing its strengths. I used a shoot until spotted/relocate fast method combined with optics for some mild scouting and found that worked pretty well. Come the mop up at the end of the game I got stuck in more.

This, I believe is the correct way to play the Panther. It can brawl, but that doesn't mean you should brawl, unless it is late in the game and/or you have plenty of hit points. You'll be better off learning to sidescrape, you'll have good use for that knowledge later on in the Panther II.

Edit:

I can hardly believe it, but I've had a small winning streak in the Panther II! WR is up to 47%, and if i dont lose more than six games out of the next 16, I'll be at 50% after 100 games. Also, almost half way to the E50 already! If this keeps up, I'll be driving it at the end of next week. That's probably way too early for me, but still... maybe I'll just keep it in my garage to look at for the time being :)

Yeah, panther 2 can sidescrape ok, I bounced a T34 round in a 1vs1 on about 50hp before. I hope you have plenty of free xp ready, the E50 as stock is a very unhappy place to be, slow as a heavy without the armour of one, and still with the 88 L/71 there really isn't much you can do. I'm about 90k off the e50m and i'll sell the e50 when I unlock it, I just can't make it work that well.

I'm thinking I'll free xp a fair bit, yes. Also gold the crew probably, grinding 25% crew XP at tier IX is just soul destroying. The E50M is What I'm really after, of course. Also hoping for some new grinding projects in the next update... :)

I free xp'd the gun, turret, engine and threw gold at the crew.......E50 stock is an absolute nightmare, you have been warmed!

Follow me, I've got a plan and it's as hot as my pants!

Yeah, I just had a long look at it and that probably is the way to go. Not feeling the 88 L/100, I'm going to go for the top 10,5 gun straight away and then just settle down and grind for the E50M. You know I hold your advice in the highest regard :)

Just realised that counting the VK (M), I am coming up on 700 games in the various Panthers already. That's more than 10% of my total games.

Can it be true?

My beautiful Panther II is getting a buff? Am I dreaming? I'm so happy I could just puke rainbows! I wonder what it will be... ROF maybe? Alpha seems unlikely.

Higher ROF would be nice... Increased hull traverse and lower ground resistance would be even nicer. I've always felt that the sluggishness has been what's holding this tank back.

Lol, got my higher ROF, but it looks like my turret traverse speed was decreased. And I got a much welcome lowered aimtime!

No apparent changes to maneuvrability, unless the soft stats have been changed.... (crossing fingers for lower ground resistance)

I am puking rainbows. My beloved Panther II got both ROF and Aimtime buff? Can it really be true? These truly are the best of all times. Can't wait to try it out! I hope they improved terrain resistance also :)

So no terrain resistance decrease. Still, a nice significant buff!

I know, right?!

I snuck a game in the Panther II earlier today. Won, too! I did hit a few snapshots, gun handling is superb.

Took the P2 out for a single match yesterday. It feels more powerful, but it may just be me driving it with more confidence, knowing it's been buffed.
