Having been automatically enrolled into the EU Server is there any way to register on the NA Server - without having to actually visit the place?

Apologies if this appears deceitful - it's not meant to be - but I'd rather play with a majority of English speakers than the current scattered-masses of the EU and Slavic languages.

Absolutely no offence to those people but bejond my faltering French and German, it's not a great experience having to play with the computer equivalent of cyrillic sign-language.

I guess you could connect customer support and see what they say.

If not, its shouldn't matter to much, they have just split the chats in languages so you shouldn't have an issue talking to other English speakers.

At the bottom of the log in page you can select the server.

EU looks like the Blue EU flag.

You may need to "disconnect from server" if you automatically log in.

You may find USA server has more lag/ping.

Also you start it like a new game doing the tutorial etc and lose all progress.

Don't expect NA server to be English only, there are a lot of south american players and not all of them understand English just like some here on EU.

I've been in battles there where no one on my team seemed to understand English and all communication was in either Spanish or Portuguese.

All good points, thank you

Hadn't appreciated that the North Americna server also included South America... so effectively the same issue by another door.

I shall persevere with EU for the time being. (But will be in the States in a few weeks and try out a new account for comparison)

Cheers to all

For gods sake please create an English speaking server.

You simply shouldn't bother playing 90% of the time

no indeed that's not the problem.

Go try to make something work while you are playing a battle.

When everyone talks a different language.

So besides my French and German I now need Polish Russian, Serbian, Czech and Turkish? :p

I swear I was reading Finnish yesterday - it was a marvel that they could play and type 50-syllable words at the same time

It's like the Battle of Britain all over again :p ;)

Which one to facilitate better communication in game wotb? French? German? Polish? Spanish? Italian? Greek? Swedish? Etc etc....Difficult to instill any sense of teamwork without a common language among your fellow teammates. No point issuing orders in polish over team chat at the start of the game, for example, if we don't understand it.  We have language specific forums why not servers too?

Teamwork? What teamwork? This is a non-issue. Irrespective of what languages someone has, if they can't grasp the basic map strategy and respond to the tactical situation, shouting at them or asking nicely is pointless. Teams evolve from the MM, some are useless, some decent, some amazing.

I'm saying this having suffered a draw just now, where at 1.35 a Hetzer finally capped, with an invisible afk iig on red, and the Valentine tried to climb the temple steps before wandering home to spawn and the M3 just bumped into the furniture a lot. I got quite heated, but stayed classy. Honest. Was that because they couldn't read English, or because they were noobs? You decide.

I think it's 50/50

If you're using a 'guaranteed' common language you can at least confirm who is a noob and who is not, without ambiguity

Otherwise someone could be trying to help but simply not understand your comments / requests

The extra layer of language confusion is unnecessary IMO , especially when there's more than enough players to create server subsets

Even placing Germanic languages on one server, Romance and Slavic language in others would help.

I personally get by with the French and German players - but find Russian and Slavic languages incomprehensible

Personally I find that the Slavic players simply don't want to contribute, and invariably YOLO or fight in platoons or solo.

Whilst you can't change that attitude but you can at least make the communication more transparent

Because the MM queues would be rather small and waiting time would increase between battles

well i can understand that you want a common language but the underlined sentences are rubbish .

also language does not affect so much the aspect of the game . if you hav map awareness and know how to handle your tanks  eithes you speak greek or portuguese either any slavic language  you simply dont need instructions  . you know what to do . i dont pay attention to chat unless if it is coming from my platoon

You dont need language to play this game.
