Is it just me or are there more and now players just firing prammo?  It might be the gold trail is more obvious with this update, or just me noticing it more.  i don't know, but recently I seem to have met a lot of players firing gold rounds no matter what the circumstance. Eg heavies firing into the flank of my medium. There seem to be lots of players trying to jump up their win rate by using this.

It is you noticing it more really.Premium ammo has been spammed since time immemorial.

 

Don't know anything about its contribution to increased win rates but ever since an is-3 defender used heat ammo on my ru-251 I stopped caring about it all together.

Tell that to the occasional 5-6 is3/is3 defender/is6 drivers per game please.

 

-1/+1 MM was a grave mistake. Instead of eliminating imbalance, it just promoted it.

No, same as always.

However, there are much more riots caused in high tiers, over prammo usage. 

You release just a single HEAT trail, and get 2-3 red throwing some bitter remarks at you in return.

First of all you can't say if someone shoots APCR but you can say if they shoot HEAT. Things have changed because there are now much more tanks that have HEAT ammo like SP IC, RU 251, Japanese tanks from tier VIII upwards, Type 62, IS-3 Defender etc. Some of these are very popular SP IC and Defender for example. So when they shoot premium ammo, opponent can realize that. You might be shot all day with APCR but you can't know the difference. I have shot some players with Centurion 7/1 HESH ammo and they have asked "Dude why you shoot gold into my a$$?" They just don't know the difference. And second of all. What does it matter which ammo type kills you? If it hits and pens, you showed too much or wrong part in wrong angle.

Met a T62A driver firing just HEAT. I could tell you all his name and his clan, but I won't. When I asked what was the point, I got the usual "f*ck off noob"

Is it wrong to fire prammo? I only keep it for emergencies, which means about 2-3 rounds per tank depending on alpha, but recently I have had to use more than the usual emergency supply. Especially in and around tier 7-8 as there are a lot of IS variant tanks to deal with at this level, quite often I don't have an assured penetration on the frontal armour of an IS3 Defender and have to load up the APCR on the ol' L/71. I don't spam it, but I still feel reluctant, if not guilty, to load it up, especially in the E100 as the HEAT round is both expensive and OP.

Ahh, well that is annoying. I can't agree more with your post about HEAT spamming T62as, I simply can't play the E100 anymore because even when I angle, sidescrape or go hull down everyone just fires prammo into my turret, especially Russian meds. It's so annoying when people overcome their lack of skill with constantly firing prammo. The E100, like most other heavies, does have frontal weakspots, but many people don't even bother to aim at these weakspots and it makes all methods of armour strengthening useless. Spamming prammo is indeed an issue, personally I believe Russian meds are 75% responsible for this...

I loathe Tier 10 tanks, prammo or no prammo.  They are the devil's battlewagons.  Thank God I don't see them in Tier 8 anymore, and I don't have any Tier 9's yet.

This is exactly what I am on about. I am often in my obj 140 but I think I have only fired 10 prammo rounds. I save it for game changing /saving situations. I just don't see how people fund using it all the time. I do sometimes find it funny to see people using it in completely unnecessary situations, but to me too many are using it instead of learning to hit weak spots etc.

the only time i have ever fired more than 3 rounds of prammo in a row was in a last game situation with my PTA. that one of the very few times i used it in the PTA as well. i lost money but i got 5.3k damage. only time i ever lost money and thought, that was worth it

I Run a lot of apcr in my sports matila as I want the job done and win the match and still come out of it with positive credits and in that does the job nowt wrong with that.
