In my vain attempt to get the Cunningham to 60% over 100 games, I've now loaded it chocolate full of prammo exclusively, wrapped a towel around the turret and painted it funny colours. However, the gods of random have determined that it will only fight tier 2 teams full of PzII and T18s, some of whom (on red) are competent. Grr.

From personal experience there is more prammo since 2.6-2.7, but it didn't change with -1/+1 MM. So,etimes I load up the tank with prammo to see how many credits I can lose in a single run. As I don't use rations camo or consumables there is plenty to spend on gold rounds.

First of all you can't say if someone shoots APCR but you can say if they shoot HEAT.

I've said it before but...

People think that they can say if someone shoot HEAT, but I have found that they are not 100% accurate.

I have had people accusing me of shooting HEAT, even really good players, when I in fact shot regular AP.

In one occurrence it was a fellow clan member (before clans were implemented so he didn't actually know I was in the same clan...) in his IS-7 which I penned with my T-54 in the lower glacis with a total snapshot (he showed up quite suddenly) which I was also surprised that it penned.

I immediately got a "nice HEAT spam" and I replied "nope, just AP".

After the battle I chatted with him and he told me he heard the sizzling noise and noticed the difference in tracer color.

And that "incident" hasn't been the only one.

What I have noticed more of is gold traces of rounds being fired. I have assumed this is prammo but I might be wrong.

Then what are the fools traces I see- most often at times when gold might be useful.

HEAT has a gold/yellow/orange trail behind it. You can also tell if you've been penned by HEAT as there's a sizzle. As far as I am aware there's no way of detecting APCR without mods.

It might just be me, but when I fire APCR I notice that the white trail/tracer behind the shell is a little whiter or thicker. As I say, it could just be me though

Even if it is the case, it would be impossible for other players to tell

Edit: I just checked this in the Training Rooms, and it does seem to be the case. An APCR shell has a white tracer while AP has a light grey one

Once again, that is not 100% accurate, either people see or hear what isn't there or the game doesn't always display/sound correctly.

Regardless, I always assume all tanks can pen me (except when I know they can't even with prammo).

If they can't hit you, they cant pen you...

That's the way it's meant to work though.

I still think that in the middle of a battle you can really tell; surely you're too busy fighting the reds than worrying about tracer colours. It ain't a fireworks show...

I am an IS6 Driver and with the update i believe other IS6 Drivers will shot less and less prammo because of the new gun. You buy IS6 to gain credit and not loose it. I try to use it as Little as i can but when you go up against Tier 9 heavies with the old gun or some TDs T95 etc....   you just have to load some prammo :izmena:

true, there is a slight white line with apcr. i have never seen a ap one though

You can tell who the heavy tank drivers are in this thread. if you are in a PTA, it doesnt matter if they fire ap or 500mm pen heat rounds, it doesnt make a difference. i just say lol, that noob doesnt know they can pen the PTA with ap, enjoy the scarlet bill:trollface:

Maybe they know but are using prammo against weakling tanks for more penetration in order to help complete certain missions faster, like injuring crew or ammo racking? :P

the only prammo that kills/damages extra modules is HESH. If you have a mission like that, use HESH or HE. Or find a PTA and don't stop shooting
