U forgot to mention that you need to pray to Stalin before bed time every night if you want well placed shots in your KV-2.

KV-2 should be played with 152mm but I think that players can also try top gun as the rate of fire is great - 6.19 vs 4.38 in T-150 and a lot better aiming and dispersion in compare with 152mm. However, we all know which gun was made for real fun :D

Cheers, MeetThyDoom, this has been a massive help. Had my KV2 for a long time & never been that confident in it, but after reading your post I've played it a lot tonight with much more success.

Great stuff . the biggest problem is people hit the turret bcoz it's so big and I can't even spot them half them

Hi there, the front of the KV-2 is a big weak spot, especially if another KV-2 shots you. Do you have coated optics fitted? they should help you spot tanks very easily.

Kv-2 is blind and has slow reload if using derp gun.

to take time to aim you need to stay still, I use binos on mine.

just make sure you get a good position, if not at the front of pack scaring everyone.

I find a mix of both is works very well.

I'd disagree with your point on never firing AP rounds. I often find that the sides of some tanks that I can't pen with HE can be penned with AP which equals more damage (about twice the HE splash damage). Mainly applies to IS tanks.

Get close to the reds, but in cover and never alone. That's where the KV2 needs to be. The derp is not a sniper gun. The KV2 is very good between buildings, where you can trade shots, because a lot of players will not try to beat your reload with a second shot. One big advantage of HE is that there is less need to aim for the weak spot, just make sure you hit something.

The less time you are exposed for aiming, the better.

I loaded it with 75% HE and a few of the premium AP shells. Very usefull for medium armored tanks. HE is standard ammo against all lights, shot at the sides of mediums, and full frontal heavy armored tanks/turrets.

Very well written and useful guide.

My setup differs slightly.  To save credits, I use the basic medkit instead of the multi-repair kit, and I only repair tracks if I have to.  And I use binoculars instead of optics, since I spend more time stopped in the KV-2 than I do moving, and the extra view range binocs provide is useful.

Try following for the thrills: charge the red (lower or same tier) while bouncing shots. Derp it from a few meters, if it survived, reverse like you were running away to reload. When it realises whats going on and tries to chase you, charge again.

I know it's not fair, but hillarious.

Nice tutorial.
