I like the colombian white pony line best... makes me endure allnighters with more ease.

So I got advised to try Russian/US heavy/medium lines, and I have to say low tier Russian mediums seem much more suited to my style than the US.

BT-7 is a beast (I enjoy even the losses), now I play better than in the start where I would get destroyed inside a minute my survival rate has gone from (career) 31% to (30 day 44 battles) 50% I often get 500-650 damage. The next tanks are A-20 (which needs de-noobing) and T-34 which again gives me good damage (730 dpb after 58 battles). I've managed to research and buy the T-34/85 so I hope this is more of the same.

I have found I prefer quick rate of fire over auto-loaders. I can live with slow reload if the tank is more mobile so Grosstraktor and T-46 are also fun for me. The thin armour isn't too much of a disadvantage at low tiers as many players seem to be poor shots and I use hard cover a lot more effectively now.

I would say on balance playing tanks with good armour at first helps provided you make full use of cover so you don't rely on it. Then those skills can be transferred to less armoured tanks where you really appreciate the better manoeuvrability.
