hi a couple of days ago I did 20 battles all tier X except for one. (Luchs had a birthday) that gave me 9 drops of spare parts for 1361.
Tonight in in a variety of tiers the last 10 games I had 2 drops of spare parts for 260. Tier vi wins were the games that game me spare parts.
I have not been keeping track of the spare parts drops except for the above data. hope this helps.

Has any one completed a mission and only got the spare parts for the mission, with no additional spare parts?
Every time I have completed a mission, that I have checked, I get the spare parts for the mission and an additional drop of the spare parts.

Drop rate for spare parts during battles is very, very low. It needs to be 5-10 times more. I equipped most of my tanks with level 1 or 2 slots and some even have VStab from level 3. But thing is I don't have too many tanks in garage and I got most of spare parts from 17k battles I played before 3.8 patch. Without that I wouldn't have spare parts to equip even my basic tanks.
Unless we can not get 5-10x increased rate it would be useful to get spare parts from every battle and removing limitation to unlock all slots from previous level to start a slot from new level. For example, on some of my tanks I need to improve gun handling and for that I need to unlock 3 slots with credits and 4 slots with spare parts. Why do I need to unlock armor or traverse just to get VStab? At least let us unlock slots that we actually need.
With this drop rate of spare parts I will be able to unlock only slots for credits on new tanks because:
- I need spare parts for my favourite tanks in garage
- I will research and buy next tank in tech tree even before i collect spare parts to unlock all level 2 slots
- why would I waste spare parts that are so hard to get on tank that I will sell in 1,2 or 3 weeks, after I research next tank.

Credits are not used to unlock Tiers II–III slots because that would be too expensive, especially for high-tier vehicles:
Previously, players needed 1,800,000 to fill in three equipment slots for a Tier X vehicle.

5.7m credits for equipment is far easier to achieve.
Most people can make 10,000 credits per battle, i think its a reasonable amount.
5,400,000 / 5,000 = 1,080
so in 1,080battles averaging 5,000 credits I can make the cash they are saying.
So thats a third of battles needed compared to spare parts (dropped at maximum amounts!)
From the 1,857 battles, if I earn 5,000 credits on average,
I can make 9,285,000 credits.
At the highest drop rate I can make 9,2million credits.
So please, How are spare parts doing US a favour?
A little fault in what you suggest. You will play a 1000 battles to earn money just for one equipment? Wont you ever need it for some other things? Like buying a tank, and other stuff? Either way its not easy

So I have 6 empty tierX tanks in my garage.
6x185,700(spare parts needed for max) = 1,114,200 spare parts I need just for these 6 tanks.
If I can get 10,000 parts from missions (per day) then its still a long time.
1,114,200 / 10,000 = 111.42
111 days worth of missions for 6 tanks
When I add these 6 plus my other premium tanks its years to equip them.
So why would I bother to buy any more or grind new lines?
