Ok, so when i Log into the game and then play a battle, I always have this sort of ping issue where any actions i make, are delayed. So if i want to turn left, i will move the joystick, but the tank will turn after a few seconds only. If i want to turn right while moving forward, ill move the joystick in the same way, but it always has a delay in turning the tank accordingly. It applies for ANY action I make, like shooting, moving forward, backward turning. It is not like the 'high ping' issues most people face, where the tank goes into the ground, or into the air, or the shot is delayed. In those issues, it shows in the ping indicator that the ping is high. But for me it just lags and this indicator just shows a normal ping. Also, it only happens for the very first battle i play AFTER logging in/entering the game after hving closed it down or left the app. It goes away after that. Only rarely and a bit recently has it come back during a battle that was not the first one after logging. Ive had to use a Tetrarch and just run as fast as i can go into the enemy base, spot and just do dmg but not try to survive it at all, so i dont have the same issue when i play with a tier X or other high tier tanks, because that would really affect people and they will get mad.

Also, i wouldnt blame WG for this because my device is an iPad Mini First Generation which is very quite old now as ive had it since the release. Ive also spoken to a random player who told me he had the same problem. Now, I dont know if it is my device, or if it IS a server problem, but it is quite annoying and im having to drop WR a bit due to those first battles. Any help solving this issue or finding out what is causing it?

This issue has also popped up quite recently, like at the start of this year and i never had this sort of ping issue before

The more they update the game, the harder it'll be for your device to keep up. My guess is it'll only get worse for you unfortunately.

Download app called "PingPlotter" to your iPad and run test to "login.wotblitz.eu" for few minutes. That will tell you an detailed view where the problem in the network is or is there a network problem at all.

Old devices simply lack the processing power to run the game smoothly.

Have you tried heading into a training room first off rather than into a battle?

I have these symptomes when my device switches from 4G to wireless while I launch Blitz. Closing apps and reconnect to wireless helps.

I had similar problem. It began after using another router.

Try another brand / model. Do you have the problem on other networks too?

I switch from wifi to 4G when I get the control lag you describe - it normally affects me when I want to stop but the tank carries on going for a few seconds... usually out of cover or into a clear enemy field of fire.

What i have seen (besides netflix) is that photo backups and app updates can be very aggressive and run at any time, check for those. No need for ping plotter if your are on linux or osx, you only need gnuplot, then run this in terminal (this is to collect data, will run until stopped):

while true; do ping -c 10 -i 0.2 -q login.wotblitz.eu >> /tmp/blitz.txt; sleep 2; done;

and either let run for a while (a minute) then stop it (Ctrl-C) or just simultaneously generate chart in another terminal window:

for png chart:
cat /tmp/blitz.txt | awk -F '[ /]' '/rtt/{ print $8 }' | gnuplot -persist -e "set xlabel '600 samples, 2 seconds resolution'; set ylabel 'ping ms'; set yrange[0:100]; plot '-' with lines title 'Ping login.wotblitz.eu'"

for text output:

cat /tmp/blitz.txt | awk -F '[ /]' '/rtt/{ print $8 }' | gnuplot -persist -e "set terminal dumb 180 20; set yrange[0:100]; plot '-' with impulses title 'Ping (ms)';"

this might not be perfectly synced between the two pinged servers (login-wg and 8.8.8.8), but you get the idea...

Just FYI, i haven't been observing any out of normal latencies, i had been pinging wot the whole day today, together with google, to see any difference. I have also had some 25 games and no lag. Check your network for local issues.

See my result here. Test was running every other second. As long as google response shows the same lag, this means local network load and not wot lag. So all seemed OK today.

Well, his script is not yet at PingPlotter's level. PignPlotter tests ping for each link on the way to the server. I would like to see also the GnuPlot that can accomplish such a graph although I think it is doable.

I get this a few times a month.

Ping fine, controls lag out spectacularly.

I'm using an iPhone 6s and while my internet connection is poor, it is reliably poor. All the time. So it must be the game, because this lag doesnt happen all the time.

Why, how and what it us, no idea.

I use an iphone 6 too, and whilst I have no ping issues like I used to on older devices, my phone gets very hot after only a few games of WOTB, but this only started recently, maybe a month ago. Has this affected anyone else's phone?

The more demanding the graphics become, the more work a gpu has to do.

Older gpu's had to work harder than newer ones in the first place, so it hits these hardest. More work=more power used. Heat evolved is directly proportional to power consumed.

The gpu in the iPhone 6 is getting older, by no means out of date! I suspect you can run top settings with x2 antialiasing  and antitropic filtering and still get 60 fps, maybe dropping to 50 or so in heavy action.

I would seriously suggest if your phone gets VERY hot to turn off a-a and filtering, these are functions far more easily performed by PCs. This will reduce load a lot. If thats not enough, cut a few extras like the metal graphics and grass. Still not happy, cut things like water and foliage rendering before tank rendering and draw range.
