Hello all,

In my conversations with other players this particular line of thought has popped up quite a few times.

I don't quite get it. Does the mere possession of a Tier X improve your social standing more than outstanding performance in, say, a Tier VIII? Is there a logic behind it?

Nope. Had a completely useless berk on the team the other day, went city in Middleburg and got trashed. Dreadful stats, sod all games, driving VK36. Apparently, however, I'm a total noob because he has tier X and IX on his other account, and I have none. If he's playing at 46% in VI, dear alone knows what he's like in X.
Still, I guess he'll discover sex some day. Maybe.

Considering how many n00bs drive tier X tanks I think the title here makes no sense.

He is still noob. On my other account I have tier11

I want just that, and replay files.

A) Owning a tier X automatically means you are superior in every way to anyone who doesn’t own a tier X. Owning atier x M60 means you are well and truly a cut above and obviously loyal.

B) Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

one of those statements is true.

How many times have you seen some muppet driving round aimlessly in low tiers, shouting his chops off that he's got an is7!!!.

Then you look at his profile and it's piss poor..... yes, a few seem to think owning t10 is akin to nirvana, if anything top tier makes them more nooby.

I'm  a noob because I have tier 10!!! (Including the much hated and maligned  shell magnet M60 - when the game opens and someone says hi M60 you know that there is a search party launching in your direction) . I think if I didn't have any and stayed below tier 8 I would be less of a noob.:arta:

As a w!lly waving gesture, its one of the poorer ones, and without exception comes from the keyboard of a snot nosed pre-pubescent who is usually shooting rocks in a tier 5 stock tank, demanding the team ‘Capture the Base’ from spawn - the refusal is met by the dreaded ‘Noob - I have tier X’ - but they rarely say which one. Not that it would make a difference.

Empros is recruiting! Message me in game to apply.

Many time I would like to invert that statement. You’re a noob cos you have a tier ten (and god forgive actually play it)

This seems to be a part of human nature.

I especially see this with the Super Clans.

Over in WoT NA, a pubbie cannot even post in the Uber clan threads without getting downvoted.  This feature has been removed, fortunately.

So if someone wants to see themselves as superior to others, there are all sorts of "standards" they can create.

Personally, I refuse to go higher than tier 8.  I have a tier 9 unlocked in WoT EU, but have not bothered to purchase it.  I did get a tier 9 in WoT NA, but did not enjoy playing the higher tiers.

I did only get to tier VII so far, so that makes me an even bigger n00b. Sad life :(

I got my first tier X after 10,000 battles or so.

This was on good advice from experienced players.

I was still useless at tier x when i first got my Fatton but it wasnt a car crash.

Play what you like. When you see players with 10,000 battles in t-46 its a bit surprising and makes no sense to me (i think its a form of self pleasuring similar to something else). If you are a player with excessive amounts of games in one particular tank. Im happy that you found the tank you love. But this game has loads of great tanks should you only go and look.

As it goes I think tier X has some of the worst players in the game. So using tier x as a high horse to give you grief is a bit funny

Had this a couple of times myself. I have no tier 10 tanks because I didn't really enjoy them on PC, so why would I enjoy them on Blitz? Also because I'm a scroodge and prefer making money (credits) than spending it. I don't feel there's much skill in tier 10, it's all prammo spam hit-point trading.

The guy who made this comment last had WR of something like 40.10%. And he did have tier 10 tanks, but his highest WR in a tier 10 tank was something like 22%. Rough figures from memory, it was a couple months back now. Had to point this out to him, then he went silent.

Comments like that are just a kid's way of trying to big themselves and their egos up because they have no real life outside the game. The gaming environment gives them a platform to hide their identity and act out a life that's not their own.

More recently however there were two noobs in a tier 4 & 5 battle who were arguing over which direction to go. One of the guys yelled out "I HAVE TIER 6!!" followed by "SO IM BETTER THEN U!" That guy went solo the wrong way and died at 2 minutes into the game.

I lol'd so hard I nearly dropped the ipad.
