Nerfs: Sherman Jumbo, KV-1S, Pz IV Schmalturm, Kuro Mori, (ARL 44 was nerfed already)

The graphs tell the players' average WR difference to _their own_ other same tier tanks. Full analysis and explanation of the methodology is here.

Sorry, but  "players' average WR difference to _their own_ other same tier tanks" is BS ...

You're saying player should have same WR on all same tier tanks? Wrong in so many ways ...

What they are doing is buff low performing tanks based on all 55-65% winrate players. That's totally different than your pool of data. I thought about it and what they are doing seems reasonable. Lower tiers where it was applied seem quite balanced.

I think only regarding players with decent tanking abilities seems reasonable: of course complete Noobs will always do better in a well armoured tank. That is why well armoured tanks will always have better overall stats than paper tanks. How ever, in order to Balance overall statistics you would have to Buff Lights and badly armoured Meds/TDs to a degree where good players will completely dominate the battlefield with them. We are talking Obj140-before-the-Nerf-domination or actually even more. I dont think that would be good for the game. Considering mainly 55-65% players and also taking into Account Dmg numbers etc will imo lead to a much more enjoyable gaming experience. They should just stop doing fast-pace-balancing like with the FV4202 or the french Heavies.

Chinese new year begins on 16 February 2018 - and will be the Year of the Dog.

So that is about the time the Chinese mediums will arrive IMO.

The 55-65% win rate does seem odd.

Is this the win rate overall for the player?

is it the win rate in that tank?

How many battles have they had? A re-roll account where they have just bought a premium. Then free XP up the tech tree to the tanks that they want rather than fighting up the tech tree as that would damage their win rate .

Does the player concentrate on one tank or on type of tank heavies for example or just soviet heavies but occasionally takes a light tank out for variety but almost always loses in the light?

Another possible problem is that an underperforming tank is bound to be less popular. Nobody want to play with a tank that keeps losing. So the number of battles done in a underperforming tank will be lower. At least that is what the overall number of battles appears to indicate on the statistics websites. Look at the jump in battles played by the JgPzIV since its buff. This assumes that people are playing the tank for fun rather than grinding up the tech tree to the next tank. Do they only pick those players who have fully upgraded the tank and have 100% crew skills are they all using full equipment on the tank? The difference between a stock 50% crew skill and no equipment and a fully tricked out is significant.

There are lots of problem in specifying a particular player/user group in making sure that they are representative.  Too small a number and it will not be representative of the whole. By just picking a specific group the 55-65% they have deliberately skewed the data as compared to the average player. If there ever was such a thing as an "average" player.

I understand that balance within the game is not easy, if not impossible to achieve and you cannot please everybody. There will always be sombody complaining that their favourite tank needs a buff and their most hated tank needs a nerf .

But the current trend to over buff/nerf and then have to correct in the next release is a bit trying.

Give the A-32 the L-11 gun instead of the current L-10.

It'll still be just as useless in tier 5 battles as it is right now, but it would have a sporting chance against the recent influx of heavily-armoured tier 4 'lights' and 'mediums', with Calibrated Shells anyway.

One average YES.

That does NOT mean each player should have the same WR in all their tanks since players have different playstyles and different playstyles work differently on different tanks. But on average, better players (~60%) should have roughly equal WR on average on every tank. Which player skill-level (i.e. WR) is set as the anchor-point is debatable. I would put the bar to WR 60%+ players i.e. bit higher than what WG does (55-65%). Differences should be roughly within +/-2% tolerance.

If you disagree with this, could you please how tanks should be balanced or is there a need to balance tanks at all?

Hi Canny, if you open the datasheet there is analysis for multiple player WR buckets. I selected the tanks based on 55-65% WR bucket. And those are players having 55-65% WR on their same tier tanks on average. For example, the tier VII bucket considers only players' performance in tier VII tanks and so on.

Yeah, either replace L-10U gun with L-11(U?) gun or give it as optional gun. It's just small graphics work (longer barrel and little different gun plate), +2 to AP penetration is not game breaker deal (71 AP penetration with equipment), but in certain cases allow penetration (currently 69 penetration with equipment, certain things are limited on penetration areas)

A-32 with L-10 (short barrel) gun:

A-34 (T-34 model 1940) with L-11 (long barrel) gun:

Turret is basically same, light added (just as extra, no need include it) + gun plate seem to be different.

Nice pics!

However IMO the A-32 should just get another 80 hit points.  That will give it as many hitpoints as the Tier V T-34.  Giving it a nice advantage when top tier.

Hi everyone,

Here is some information for you about balance.

Some changes we are planning in the nearest updates:

  • I guess one of the most nice: re-balance Т110Е5. The most interesting is commander's turret changes. Now it will be similar to М48 Patton commander's turret.
  • We are going to make some improvements of tier 8 premium tank Lowe. No detailed information for now.
  • We are going to improve Indien-Panzer as well. Likely we will make the gun more comfortable.
  • We continue improvements of tier 6 TDs (ARL V39, Jackson, Churchill GC).
  • Pz.Sfl.IV is going to be more comfortable.

Maybe I'll be able to share some other changes soon, so stay tuned.

What other tanks do you think need improvements? Let's discuss!

After the recent event in Minsk one of the CC's quoted the developers for saying that they realized the changes made to Centurion 7/1 and FV4202 since update 4.0 were breaking the tanks for experienced players. It was also stated that they would (finally!) implement the two-gun option for these tanks.

Any info about this???

This would make a nice christmas present for some of us :medal::)

Also, APCR dmg buff for Valentine II (from 45 to 47). Other tanks with 45mm guns should have 47dmg/shot too

Cent 7/1 and fv4202 definitely need some love - they are unplayable now. Return them to what they were before the recent buff/nerf changes - give back the hesh....
