In what I will make a regular article, we'll look at the latest offer from WG, break it down in to real world values so you can see where you are spending your money and if it's really worth what WG are asking for it.

Today, we'll start with the Großtraktor - Krupp which is on sale currently for €21.99 or in the UK £19.99

The bundle contains 5000 gold, a garage slot and 3 days of premium time. So let's break that down.

Gold averages out at 0.03p (uk depending on the amount of gold you buy) so 5000 gold is worth £15

A garage slot sells for 250 gold (75p)

3 days of premium time sells for 650 gold (£1.95)

So all the extras you are getting total £17.70. So the tank is being valued £2.29 (currently, as WG are suggesting this is discounted by 20%, but doesn't say what element is being discounted).

A typical tier 3 premium in the tech tree costs around 2250 gold (£6.75).

So on that basis, as a bundle as a whole, you would actually save around £4.46.

Of course, that glosses over the fact you are buying a £6.67 tank for £19.99 because you have no choice but to take the gold, premium time and garage slot as well.

For the bundle as a whole, it is reasonable value for money, for a tier 3 tank it really isn't.

The Grotesquetraktor has the same 7,5 cm L/24 gun as the Pzkpfw IVA, same rate of fire.  Aims slightly quicker.  But armour is no better, and it’s a bigger target.

Also on offer currently...

VK45.03 tier 7 heavy. On sale for 7650 gold (£22.95 equivalent)

Bundle also contains

1 Garage Slot (250 gold - 0.75p)

3 Days Premium (650 gold - £1.95)

25 Large Free XP Boosters (rough gold value - 18 per booster) £1.35

25 Large Crew Boosters (rough gold value - 16.9 per booster) £1.27

25 Large Combat Boosters (rough gold value - 36 per booster) £2.70

Extras total value, £8.02, Tank value £14.93

Tier 7 premium tanks normal cost around 4900 gold (£14.70)

So basically you're paying full price to get all the elements together here, no savings.

Also on offer currently...

M22 Locust tier 3 Light. On sale for 2500 gold (£7.50 equivalent)

Bundle also contains

1 Garage Slot (250 gold - 0.75p)

7 Days Premium (1250 gold - £3.75)

10 Medium Free XP Boosters (gold value - 120) £0.36

10 Medium Crew Boosters (gold value - 100 per booster) £0.30

10 Medium Combat Boosters (gold value - 240) £0.72

Extras total value, £5.88, Tank value £1.62

Tier 3 premium tanks typically cost around 1200 gold (£3.60)

So it's a good deal for the tank cost, if you don't mind paying for everything else as well.

I like the VK 45.03.  It is to the Tiger II what the Kuro Mori Mine is to the Tiger I.  Basically it’s the closest thing we have to an historical Tiger II.  Armour is the same as the Tiger I, except it is sloped, which increases the effective thickness especially when properly angled.  DPM is below the two Tier 7 Tigers, due to 1 less round per minute, but aiming time is slightly quicker.  Mobility is slightly better than the Tiger P, hull traverse is almost as quick as the Tiger I.

The conclusion is that standalone low tier tanks are worth the money just not offered in a package if there's no interest for the other items. Tank + garage slot at around £4 is not bad. Boosters gold and what not can be bought separately anyways.

For myself I just look at the cost on a per tank basis. Do I want the tank enough so that I will pay the full price of the offer on just the tank, ignoring the poosters, gold and premium time. Because I normally would not buy the poosters or premium time so they hold no value to me as part of an offer. The gold I might be interested in but they add in the gold to justify the high price of the bundles which just annoys me so I am far less likely to buy a bundled up offer.

Garage slots I would normally buy in bulk when they have a discount on the garage purchase usually of about 50% over the standard discount.

Great work Stubbo66

If, as rumoured from the open test of 4.6, standard crates can be bought for silver then premium time & account => Silver => spare parts.  There’s a screenshot in circulation, but until WG announce it, it means nowt.

New offer out today.....

Type 62 tier 7 Light. On sale for £40.99

Bundle also contains

1 Garage Slot (250 gold - 0.75p)

7 Days Premium (1000 gold - £1.95)

Dragon Legendary Camo (Previously available for 1070 Gold or £3.21)

2,000,000 Credits (£15 - 5000 Gold equivalent)

Extras total value, £20.91, Tank value £20.08

Tier 7 premium tanks normal cost around 4900 gold (£14.70)

So basically this is an overpriced bundle based on the value of the tank. When originally released it was in a smaller cheaper bundle so buyer beware.....your being digitally padded here, especially the credits!

New offer out today.....

Type 59 tier 8 Medium. On sale for £40.99

Bundle also contains

1 Garage Slot (250 gold - 0.75p)

2,000,000 Credits (£15 - 5000 Gold equivalent)

Extras total value, £15.75, Tank value £25.24

Tier 8 premium tanks normal cost around 7400 gold (£22.20)

So again this is slightly overpriced bundle based on the value of the tank. Heavily digitally padded again with credits!

New offer out today.....

Type 59 tier 8 Medium + Type 62 tier 7 light + Type 64 tier 6 light. On sale for £99.99

Bundle also contains

3 Garage Slots (750 gold - £2.25)

Dragon camo for Type 62 (Previously available for 1070 Gold or £3.21)

10,000 gold (£30)

30 Days Premium (2500 gold - £7.50)

Extras total value, £42.96, Tank value (Type 62 + Type 64) £45.32 (see previous posts) so you will be getting the Type 64 for an additional £11.71

Tier 6 premium tanks normal cost around 3000 gold (£9)

So you might think the bundle would give you some heavy discounting, but alas not...you're paying full price for everything and paying for some serious padding in terms of gold on top of the tanks costs.

But at least you now know where your money is going.

Currently on offer...

Matilda IV, tier 5 medium. On sale for 3500 gold (£10.50 equivalent)

Bundle also contains

1 Garage Slot (250 gold - 0.75p)

7 Days Premium (1250 gold - £3.75)

10 rare (presume Medium) Free XP Boosters (gold value - 120) £0.36

10 rare (presume Medium) Crew Boosters (gold value - 100 per booster) £0.30

10 rare (presume Medium) Combat Boosters (gold value - 240) £0.72

Extras total value, £5.88, Tank value £4.62

Tier 5 premium tanks typically cost around 2400 gold (£7.20)

The bundle is offered as 20% off, and in describing the boosters as rare there is no transparency on whether these are small, medium or large (though it does appear to be medium from the cost calculations).

So 20% off saves about £2 on the bundle, of which 58% is filler and not the tank.

What really ***** me off apart from rediculous prices these days is that the t62 & t59 have been sold and been in prize list so many times most of us have them. Wg are just laughing in our faces by not selling t64 or whatever the new chinese ones called on its own. Its just a big **** you to those who have the t62,t59 but want the t64 who have to pay £110 just to get it in a bundle with two tanks they already own. I liked to collect all the tanks but since the is2-h i just dont bother and only bought a couple of tanks as they ask too much to finish event grinds or too high bundle prices. What happened to the good old days when bundles were reasonable.
