WG just put Type 64 on sale for €110. Why €110? Because you can only buy it in a bundle with 30 days of premium, 10000 gold, Type 59 and 62.

By the way it’s €120-121 here in Denmark.

WG,

I already have Type 62 and 59. I have enough premium time certificates for more than a year.

Instead if you had made a bundle with 59 Patton, Type 34-3 and Type 64. That would be fine and most likely I would buy it.

But what the heck is this thing with trying to sell me tanks I already have. I can’t have two or more of the same tank, can I?

It's even funnier that they sell 2M credits on the type 59 bundle.

No you cannot have the same tank twice. Unless you count things like the type 34 and the t34 as the same tank. Which they are but with a very slight difference.

The bundle which includes the Type 64 is done in order to make people pay a large amount of real world money for the tank. Which a number of people, including those like yourself want.

WG Have and will do this again. If you really want it and can afford it. Then I have no problem in your buying it.

However for me it is far too expensive.

The practise of making up a bundle of goods allows them to explain that you are getting a "good deal" as if you take the overall cost of the elements of the bundle and buy them separately you would have to spend more. The fact that most people do not want poosters , sorry I meant boosters, and other elements within a bundle means that they can get more money for the goods that you actually do want.  In this case the type 64.

it is a gamble that WG will at some point in the future offer the tank again either in a different bundle which would suit you better as in not buying duplicate tanks, or as a stand alone one off price.

The once only offer never to be repeated has proven to be misinformation. For example the Fury and the Tankenstien both of these were advertised as one time only. But have both been sold twice.  I am expecting the Chieftan 95 to be on sale at a high price in a bundle at some time in the future. Possibly the around he begining of June to coincide with the D-Day.

Peddy tanj it,

Thank you for your long reply. However parts of my post is irony and others are reference to the stupidity in their sales and marketing department.

Sorry missed the irony first time through. And I would disagree on the marketing department. They are trying to get the most money from us they can. We may not like what they are doing and as a customer disagree with the strategy they are using as it annoys us and that in the long term is likely to cost them money. Annoying the customer base with iffy deals is never a good long term idea. But for the short term they are going to make money for WG. Same as the Xmas fair it made money for WG but annoyed a lot of players.

Pure greed on WG part, are they really blind to the point that if they sold these tanks for £10 each they would fly off the shelves and they would make a ton of money

£100 is my weekly food shop,  £50 pays a utility bill... No thanks!!

Shakes his head

So if you've supported WG and already bought the Type 59 & Type 62 in the past you're screwed. Cheers WG.

Well, personally I think it’s stupidity. They should price low and go for volume.

It’s common knowledge that the majority of the player base is teens.I have 3-5 teens in the clan per adult (defining adult as 21+), almost  all of them doesn’t have that kind of money to spend for a game.

I can pay €120 for Type 64, maybe play 50-100 battles in it. But I can also buy return trip tickets to Stansted from Denmark for my wife, daughter and myself for €100.

Ok, bought the Chinese Dragons bundle

Allready got the Type 62 and Type 59 so i got 2 x 10.000 gold compensation

Together with the 10.000 gold in the bundle i got 30.000 gold which is worth around 92.63 euro

Got also 1 month premium time which is worth around 8.55 euro

I paid 109.99 euro so i paid around 9 euro for the Type 64 :great:

Got also 2 garage slots btw.

PS:  No equipment at all on the Type 64

Its bad they did not sell Type 64 solo, i agree :izmena:

But if you was planning to buy gold anyway and premium time is handy, its a good deal i think

If you buy a tank you already have, you get the tank’s value in gold.  (It’s real value, not the overpriced sale value.)

Yes, I understand that. I'm complaining about the bundle and the fact I have to buy 20.000 gold that i didn't really want. Maybe snookered was a btter term than screwed.

Stupid will never go away, WarGreedy will always find suckers to buy these stupid bundles ....

You've made a good case for the deal. I'm actually considering it now.

Greed, sure ... and, whatever the market will bear. So somebody out there is willing to pay the price. They're just as much responsible for WG charging a 120 ... 120 ... sorry ... just can't stop laughing long enough to finish typing ... 120euros. Whew! Got it out that time.

Well on PC there was a bundle of 80-or-so Premium tanks for around 900 bucks... If you are new to the game and plan on spending sh'tloads of Money that's actually great value

The thing is, I was thinking of buying some gold for the T26E4 Super Pershing. I don't need 30.000 gold right now but I´m pretty sure I'll be playing WoTB for for the foreseeable future so I'll be using the gold at some point.

I can afford £100 and, as I wrote in another post about the Churchill VI, I'd still rather be buying tanks this way than having to gamble on the gatcha crates.

Looking forward to the Chieftain/T95, Churchill Mk. VI, AC IV Sentinel, 50.000 Gold + 24 months Premium Bundle for £200 later this year :teethhappy:

Yeah, I'm not criticizing anyone's purchase. I mean, if you've got it to spend, why not? For me, though, that's likely to blow most, if not all of my gaming budget for the year, and it's only February. Really, I just want to buy the tank I want. I'd rather not [edited]around with bundles, grind events, etc. I just want the tank.
