The T-34-1 was the tank that i most excited about when the chinese line was confirmed. i knew i would love the combination of turret armour and powerful 100mm gun. When i got my hands on it, it even exceeded my expectations this tank is amazing and maybe a bit too good. Let me tell you why this tank is amazing:

Gun : it is the 100mm gun similar to T-54ltwt's T-54 mod1's and T-44's gun it has same the penetration of 175mm which is not very good in tier 8 but in tier 7 it has the second best penetration value among the tier 7 mediums. damage per shot 280 is very high in tier 7, accuracy is really good for a tank that carries the biggest gun among the tier 7 mediums. also reload is not bad it is even better than the tier 8 T-54 mod1 which uses the same gun.

Armor : hull armor is terrible, dont expect to bounce anything the turret armor however is even better than heavy tanks except the T29 but it has two cupolas on top of it so do not stand and still when hulldown with this tank

Mobility : nothing special with it, it is below average among tier 7 mediums as a price of that turret and gun

Tactics:

Hulldown: as mentioned above it has very good turret armor, it has 6 degrees of gun depression so you cant go hulldown at ridge lines also you cant go hulldown behind the destroyed tanks because the T-34-1 is has a very low height. You need to use the terrain for going hulldown and it requires a little experience with tanks with poor gun depression.

Side hugging: as i said tank has a very low profile and good turret armor, most of your enemies wont be able to hit and penetrate you properly this technique is more effective against high profile heavy tanks with poor gun depression. I recommend you to do this in 1vs1 situations

Hit and Run: this tank is perfect for hit and run tactics since it is the tier 7 medium with the biggest gun.

I'm absolutely fearing this tank to be honest. The gun can actually work miracles (I don't know about dpm numbers but it feels like the effective dpm is very high). Don't underestimate this tank!

It does have good effective DPM, yeah. Also the high alpha damage for a tier VII Medium makes it extremely dangerous in the endgame; less than 300 hitpoints and it will most often wipe people out in one shot.

this is kind of the only tank in the whole line that has any purpose at all. The whole rest of the line is either just identical copies of already existing tanks, or blatantly underpowered.

My sentiments exactly, I got this tank and yup I love it. But I am not grinding any of the others as it’s pointless doing the same line twice but just a different flag.

I’m enjoying the Type T-34 and looking forward to the Type 58.  In my imagination, they are North Korean tanks rather than Chinese.

T-34-2 is pretty decent and fun to play too if you are using 122mm of course with 100mm it is just a worse Type59

which raises the question... why are you enjoying it? does it give any additional enjoyment, driving a slightly nerfed version of a tank that has been in game since launch? you may just as well just have sold the provisions on your t-34, and it would be the same tank...

Well, most of my battles in the T-34, played a long time ago, were using the 76mm gun.  So using the 57mm gun in the Chinese version was a pleasant change.

The Type 58 will be a challenge, I admit, since it has a worse top gun and worse mobility than the T-34-85.  But looking forward to it anyway.  Will have to see how far 50 extra hit points will take me.

Jusr got the bad boy. The stock grind is easy. Got the top 100mm from the is2

Now i just need 1k xp to get the turret, and then I'll instantly mount the gun.

I'm loving the tank allready.

You got a like from me
