I think the crew should have Welsh accents for comedy effect.

Or maybe Yorkshire.

And sadly the US influence is strong in the EU. Even in the Netherlands where they have something of a fetish for the British (owing to our non-French-or-German-ness) many people speak English with an American accent, especially non natives.

I would like all of my tank crews to have a Brummmie accent.

All you need is an actor to recite those messages and some software tools to create a new mod. It shouldn't be that hard to do at least for Windows and android.

I wonder how a Scottish tank crew would sound when speaking Doric....

Female crew voicepacks please.

Reclassify the AMX CDC as a Tank Destroyer.

Probably about as intelligible as the Pz IV Anko :)

Can't make head nor tails of Doric.

Titus - I love the ‘he’s getting a bit toasty over there’

Problem is, I would just be laughing hysterically throughout the entire battle if we went down this route.

Well with so many ideas about what the crew should sound like, there is potential to start a new thread titled:

Which 4 well known voices should be available to choose from to be your crew?

Two Female and two Male ones! XD

If they are gonna go for an American Accent they should at least include a Southern one, Alabama/Mississippi or the likes... I always wanted wotb to turn into some tarantino style experience. Besides, everything is better than the boring east coast American ... Maybe besides bushkas horrible Aussie "language".

I’d be willing to do voice recordings for that.

“Get ‘er done!” Would be the start of the match.

”We sure screwed the pooch on that one” for a bounced shot.

”Rub some dirt on it” for a crew member dead.

And let’s not forget...

”Hold my beer and watch this  ...” for a fire or ammo rack.

Brilliant stuff Titus, I love the use of Dad’s Army catch-phrases, if only I had a scooby how to mod the voices...

Although I guess it can’t be done on a jailed iPhone...

Maybe on the iMac it could though?  Anyone know where to look for info. or do I just search t’internet?

Lol! I love it!

I assume you are from the USA yourself!

I should be in your bad books for trying to deny your fellow nationals work and mocking our current American crew members voice for his  over enthusiasm!

So I appreciate you have taken it as it was meant, just some lighthearted fun lol!

(I have no more likes left to give! Sorry!!  Too many funny comments and I didn’t realise I had a limit!)

But that  was very good!

And the crew man saying ‘hold my beer’ in the middle of a  battle  is precisely why I don’t want him in my tank!

 But again very funny lol!

Yes ma’am I’m a real good ol boy from the Southern US of A and no I don’t take offense to mocking the crap East Coast accent of the game voices.  I actually dislike them as much as you do.  My clan mates love it when I get on Discord tho.

I actually get annoyed with the voices in game and play with the sound turned down low or even off.  At least on PC you have the options to turn on crew sounds that fit the nation you are playing, but after speaking German all day at work it gets old when I should be “relaxing”

I could go for some Deep South America voices in game on the ‘Murrican tanks, and a full set of Benny Hill type voices for the British Tanks.  Would add some spice to the game.

You Sir are from a lovely part of the world. Been travelling through Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana last year and what a wonderful part of the States that is. The people down there have so much more charm than the yanks from the East Coast and the Accent is an important part of it. And the food. Chicken with Maple Syrup. Njamm... :teethhappy:

I’m blessed to be from that area.  It’s got its own little “strangeness” bit the people there are something special.  I was born on the Missouri side of Kansas City and grew up in Georgia and Alabama most my life.  The odd little expressions we have there often confuse the hell out of my wife, and most “Southern” movies I have to translate for her.

I would enjoy hearing my own accent in game thou, as a large majority of America troops were from the South, and as I said we have the oddest expressions for some of the simplest things, I laugh every time I hear it.

I find some of the British accents funny as hell when I can understand them, but some of the thicker accents I can’t make heads or tails of what they say.  Even so it’s funny as hell to me to listen to it.  It’s like the difference between a person from Hamburg speaking and someone from Bayern or worse yet Österreich.  I had to ask a guy from Wien if he actually spoke German cuz I couldn’t understand a word he said.

That would actually be hilarious... Mir händ en nödemal aakratzt... Though it would have to be in St. Gallese accent... Nothing sounds as stupid as St. Gallese accent.
