In my entire WoT career i have noticed that some tanks are more played than others, something which is of course very reasonable since not everyone enjoys the same tank.

However,i also noticed that some of the most played tanks in the game also have a very high concentration of noobs playing them. What i mean is that a tank like the KV1 attracts a lot of people, which means there will be all sorts of people playing it with major differences in skill.Since most of the playerbase arent super unicums and either mediocre/average or noobs, then obviously the most played tanks will also be mostly played by noobs.

Some tanks are really liked by noobs. For example, the IS8,KV1 as i mentioned before,T28 at tier 4,etc...

The tanks i mentioned above in my personal experience have the highest number of subpar and mediocre players playing them, but also alot of unicums(but still mostly noobs),which will lead to more low damage and bad games in them as i have personally noticed.

I ask you people to tell us what are in your opinion the tanks mostly played by noobs?Or in shorter terms what tanks have the lowest overall perfomance in terms of the players that play them and not the tank?

I'll start, for me i have NEVER seen a decent SP I C player do massive damage or win 1vs3 or get 5,6,7 kills etc.I am extremely baffled by the amount of morons that play this tank,i know that there are unicums playing them, but for the life of me i never see them.Another tank in this category is also the T49,but unlike the SP I C i have seen high damage games and overall good games in the tank.

Any other tanks you know that fit this category?Post your thoughts below!

Check your highest WN8 with significant number of battles. Must be a noob’s magnet.

meeeeow!

Well, the KV1 is way out in front.   I don’t associate the T28 with noobs that much and the SP1C seems to be rubbish since it got nerfed.   Like the OP, I rarely see one of these carry or do anything apart from die quickly but that’s also true of crud like the toaster and that one is not a noobmobile.

Nope, only one winner and it’s by a country mile.

Btw. don’t bother telling me there are decent KV1 players.   I know.   But the KV1 is OP in a way that attracts noobs in swarms.   In fact, I would bet the heavy tank is the noob’s favourite type (head for the cap!) followed by the TD (camp near spawn!).   Meds and lights are best played like TDs

Knickerson, my apologies.

SU-100Y. 130mm gun, premium AP ammo with extra damage on a fast platform and people still cant make it work. I dont know whether to get angry or feel sad.

Crap camo rating, garbage armor, huge size.

Su 100y is not easy tank to play.

Ah come on Talha, it isnt like all tier 6 maps force you to fight at close distances in a Su-100Y. Even the average player can do an acceptable amount of damage in it but most fail solely because they play it like a heavy tank and get unnecessarily close to the opposition.

KV 1 is a very good heavy tank for beginners, it's forgiving when making mistakes and can take a lot of punishment.  The trap NooBs fall into with the KV 1 is they forget how slow it is.  NooBs tend not to have very advanced crew skills which makes it worse for them, or easier for other players to take them out.  I still have my trusty KV 1, it's my tier V seal clubber.  My crew skills are maxed out and with all 9 slots open its a beauty, a beauty named 'Boris'.

The SU100Y, I don't own one but am mostly a TD player.  Don't forget that it's a free wagon that drops from a crate.  In my clan I have a new player with less than 600 battles, he got it in a crate in his first week.  Stats are broken but he likes it.  Even if he gets 1 round off he's happy.  He's not the only one.  Also remember his crew skills are very low.  Playing any TD is a very different play style to a tank, NooBs are still learning.

Crew skills really do make a difference to the vehicles played.  I often surprise the Reds with how quick many of my TDs are and get accused of being a hacker when they can't COD me.  It's a combination of my own skill (I prefer to play TDs) and mostly my maxed out crew skills.

Strange thread. Death star? Noobs should be driving kv-1 and t4 t-28, those are good tanks to practice.

I would say, generally, german tanks and especially the light line. New players just can't handle light tanks and all they do is be the 1st ones to go back to the garage only to repeat over and over again. They fail to understand that they are not learning anything like that but how to press the battle button.

The Russian heavy line might attract the same number of noobs but occasionally they will have a great game as the rest of the noobs driving german lights simply stand infront and trade shots.

Instead of the KV-1, at Tier V I’d vote for the Crusader.

Beg pardon?   I see very few of these and fewer driven by noobs.   It’s got everything they dislike: no armour, no speed, low alpha.   What they miss is the great camo and dpm.   I am just trying to ace it right now and remembering what a great tank it is.   One of the best imho.

It used to be highest tier light tank to earn xp for crew skills.

Keyword:"used to be"

That means now it isn't that good for crew skills.

Could be perception bias on my part.  I have a soft spot for all British WW2 vehicles, so pay more attention to them, and how they're played.  Having said that:

a) The KV-1 has the best WR stats of any non-premium T5 tank.

b) The Crusader has the worst WR stats of any British vehicle. (Edit: T5)

A noob in a Crusader yolos into trouble and dies.  They just can't do that so easily in a KV-1.  The heavy noob disappoints more frequently at the end of the battle, when the yoloing noob is forgotten about. That's my theory, anyway!

Historically interesting.  I didn't know that.
