There are undoubtedly tanks seal clubbers prefer but I don’t think it really matters as they would still be able to club in any tank, it’s the experience and better crew skills that mean any tank can be a club, IMHO.

Wanna bet?

Try sealclubbing in the Light Mk.VIC.  Took me 395 battles to ace that thing!  :D

The only way to deal with seal-clubbers is to get better.   And their presence will make you get better faster because they select your mistakes for extinction over and over until you eliminate them from your game.

Only problem I have with seal clubbers are the ones with loads of tier 10 tanks who play tier 1,2 & 3 battles & then moan about noobs & are abusive. When confronted they love to point out their win rate is better than yours. Only because they seal club.

395 is nothing.   The anko cost 500+ and the VK30.01P took more than 900.

First started out I had a few clowns hitting the noob replies, one of which had played 20k games!!!! Told him 20k get a life you...

Another thing is (like myself) playing with bog standard laptops that aren't built for gaming only leads to poor performances, so take that into account the newbies are already up against it then they have all the 5,10,20k players driving around blocking you or your shots. So is the REAL issue with noobs or vets?

This game is designed to be played on a phone. Must be a really bad laptop to struggle with it. 2GB with a Celery processor?

Heap of dross! Basic Toshiba carp.
I've recently bought a Nitro 5 which is a big improvement but on high settings has crashed twice playing this game. So everything is at medium to avoid any afk's.

I've tried it on my phone as well and that's no fun! Fingers sticking to the screen, if that's what I'm up against then I should be hitting half decent stats. Alright you have auto aim but it's no use trying to have a serious game on a phone, it would end up three houses down the road!

I'd agree, I'd never try using a phone. But I suck at WASD too. So I use a tablet, which was fairly cheap a couple of years ago and still does the job fine.

it's worse than ever now

matchmaker put new players under 100 games against players with 30,000 games using 7v1 storm tactic

i guess whomever survives this will be one strong character if they make it out the other side, should surely get a job literally carrying the world on their shoulders for this achievement, pressure means nothing sort of man in the true image of real man stuff

just to understand this, where do you put the border for sealclubbing? Tier 4, tier 5....?

Based on the missions in the game, WG regard Tiers I-IV as low tiers.

To WG, driving any Tier I-IV tank that you have already fully researched (elite status) is sealclubbing, since the game doesn’t require you to drive that tank any more to progress up the line.

Personally, I like to get the golden M on all my tanks, and drive at least 100 battles in all of them too, so as to be eligible for the personal top 10 tanks list in Blitzstars.  Driving more battles beyond that is unnecessary IMO, and is sealclubbing.

Titus has it nailed, but if you see me in tiers i-iv in a tank with 100’s of games it’s not seal-clubbing - unless your tier iv and I’m in a tier v heavy :) - it’s my spud-u-like skills, I’m not even trying to get an Ace in many of them just above 50% and a 1st class would be fine, at this rate some of em are gonna need 100’s of games - kame, covenantor and valentine ii I’m looking at you, you useless lumps of scrap metal!  I know it’s me not the tanks still doesn’t stop me despising the sodding things!

Slowjoe, there's no way you should be coming across players with 30,000 battles yet.

The thread was started prior to the update, so it was possible to come across seasoned clubbers back then. However, even those clubbers had a similar experience when they started and whilst it is frustrating being mauled by experienced players, it is way too soon to throw the towel in. As the you progress you get to increase your crew skills and start to understand the mechanics of the tanks you are playing and in time you get to bash the seal clubbers at their own game. I have seen 30k players with high WR get mauled by players with less that 200 battles once they know what the tank can do.

Not only that, but coming across experienced players also helps you to understand how to play the game. Its not the easiest of games, there is a lot going on in it, what with penetration of ammo, what skills are, what equipment does, strategy, map awareness and all these things. Thats before we even get to angling and side-scrapping. Watching experienced players doing this actually does improve your game. When you first start out everyone is the same - rush to the enemy, engage and die quickly. Then you get the experienced players in certain tanks who everyone shouts "noob" or "camper" at. Now these players understand the yolo rule and generally wait until all the enemy are lit up on the map before they make a move. This is not camping, but tactical play. They know when to hit trade, they know that there is no point running off to meet the enemy in a light tank as all this will achieve is a quick death. Many new players don't understand how or when to camp or the how crucial spotting is - because everyone thinks that killing tanks is what it is all about, which aint the case always. What is the case is dishing out as much damage as you can. If you can camp and dish out damage constantly then you are contributing to the team - if you run straight into the the enemy and die within the first 30 seconds, when the game lasts 7 minutes, then you are no use to anyone really.

however, it is a shame that a player wants to give up after 166 games. Not really gave it a chance, but each to their own

Ours is not to reason why, ours is just to kill, kill kill - War is hell, maybe :justwait:

Hehe...I bought a T-46 :child: and I’m only going to drive that for a while. See, this is why I come onto the forum. Masses of grown ups who put up with my tantrums, and tell me where I’m going wrong. No, I don’t blame the tanks. I have actually seen (and shot) T-46s that weren’t driven at all well. From what I’ve understood, it’s a seal clubbing favourite, and it really is a good tool in the right hands. I had a couple of good games in it, and totally understand the attraction. I’ve met erm “experienced players” in other tanks too. They’re not hard to spot if you’re observant. You only have to look at the way they’re playing. The way everyone who takes the game seriously wants to be able to play.

Well, I’m going to stop looking at players profiles, and just play. Not buying any more gold, though. I’ve got a goodish tank, and i think i can be a good driver if i crack on with it, although I can’t get my head round auto loaders, but it’s early days yet. My biggest trouble is impatience. I’ve got to wind my neck in.

lol you could be me hehe. But then I’m the noob most of the time (well trying not to be ). I really need to wind my neck on loads some games but then I hate to loose and being a girl playing this do sometimes get singled out in the battle by guys wanting to show their better than a girl (lots find out they aren’t hehe). The impatience thing I really get lol frustration too lol especialy when you say go right at the start of the battle half go left the rest rush the middle and die a quick death leaving me to try to carry again.

Oh and chairman _merpug nothing wrong with the little T1 it’s one of my favourite tanks lol
