Tiers I-IV do not count towards stats, same as rated battles. You can still ace a tank or grind credits, but that's it.

I’d rather see low tier stats (I-IV) separated out from high tier stats, but it’s a good idea.

Yes. No stats or separate stats are good ideas.

Sealclubbing in tier V and VI is also fun. Not for the stats but just love to bash noobs. Im hoping they wil delete the game or go back to tier 1/2

If i sealclub i do it at tier 5 and 6,with the dreaded Panzer 4 derp and the Jgpz 4.

Both tanks can very well hold their own in any situation, especialy the flatpanzer.

I like tier 5 because thats where tanks start to diverge and actual tank roles get separated, thankfully most noobs still dont learn fast enough to counter seal clubbers.

I vastly preferred the SU-100 to the JgPz IV. Have not enjoyed that line at all so far.  And the Pz. IV I detested, much prefered the Pz. III/IV.

Guess I don't have the skill yet :)

Tier 6 doesn’t count as sealclubbing.  Seals aren’t supposed to be seals anymore by the time they reach Tier 5.

The no stats below tier V will not stop the seal clubbing. But might reduce it as the stats padding will now just move to tier V. But that is not the only reason that people go seal-clubbing.  I go to have a bit of fun after a bad run of losing or to try out new tactics and positions  or to give my low tier tanks the birthday run out.

Also for the new players does this mean that you will not have stats until you reach tier V ? Or that stats for tiers I-IV do not count after say 500 battles.

Flatpanzer is a wonderful stress relief. So, for me at any rate, is the Hellcat. It's also really irritating when I suddenly realise I've chosen the Jackson by mistake...

Our forum astronomer has a point here. All it would take from WG to remove global WR from stats completely and replace it with something that takes tier in to consideration. Tier-specific WN8? But how to make it simple since not all players have tier X tanks.

In STAR rating only your top 5 tier tanks count for statistical purposes and only those where you have more than tier level * 10 amount of battles.

No to the first part only 5 tanks count ? But I have more than that at tier X so what happens if I drive a tier IX tank it does not count? then why bother to try for a win just go for the silver ?

For the second point this is a good idea means that you do not count the first battles in your new tank and allows you time to learn it's strengths and weak points. But I do not see this second point as helping to stop seal clubbers.

All this talk of stopping seal clubbing is pointless.  It will continue as before, granted it might lessen a wee bit (but then only at the lower tiers and even then it might not happen). If you see seal clubbing as a problem then all that is happening here is for the problem to be moved to other tiers to a greater extent.  It has always happened and will continue.  As for stat padding, same thing.

The more I think about it, it is nothing but a business ploy by WG to maximise profit by making players progress faster.  There will be more incentive for players to buy higher tiers premiums as opposed to lower tier ones.  I can see there being future increased division and animosity in the game amongst players, all based around tier level play.  Tier snobbery, I can't stand it.  Tier X is not the measure of how skilled a player is, no matter how it is presented.  The idea of tier specific WR is a good one, as long as it includes all tiers.  Tier X isn't where it's at and should not be a measure how a players skill set.

Seal clubbing will move up the tiers to a greater extent and lower a wee bit in the lower tiers with the proposed changes.  It will remain.  Professional seal clubbery will continue apace, as before.  It happens.

All this discussion about WR.  As long as WR exists in the game there will be ways to manipulate it.

I'm sure some complaints are legitimate. Variation in spotting distance and an apparent reduction in traverse speed for no reason are a couple I can think of. The lack of any method by which players can develop skills before they rush up the tiers is another. Yours, on the other hand, are incoherent raving. We've got replays now, they're easy to upload into WOTinspector. Doing this builds a database of games where all sorts of things can be analysed by players, enabling us to see if there is a problem with aspects of the game as well as working out how to improve our own gameplay.

(Answer aimed at any intelligent visitors; SHOUTY_BRAT will just go "fakk fakk bs mods fakk". Bit like my neighbour's Jack Russell; quite cute, but really noisy and not very bright)
