Update 5.7

In Update 5.7, we focused on improving vehicle characteristics and increasing gun handling parameters for researchable Tier I–IV vehicles. These changes slightly affected Tier V vehicles as well. Now, the М4 Sherman causes a little less damage, and the T-34 penetrates enemy armor better. Based on your feedback, we also made minor changes to the technical characteristics of the FV215b (183).

Moreover, we increased the ammunition capacity for some vehicles. Thus, the Cruiser Mk. II, Renault R35, D2, and BT-7 will run out of shells more rarely, and it's now much easier to equip the VK 72.01 (K) with different types of shells. Furthermore, four tanks were renamed and some Premium vehicles were given Collector vehicle status.

a WoT Blitz community manager announced on FB that:

Question: When will you release the Japanese heavies:

Answer (Alexandra Matyush): I’m afraid not in the nearest future. The Japanese heavies are too big for the current maps, we aware of the dis balance in the game. The nearest tanks are Chinese and also working on the new nation.

Morning @Ribble. What does "The load capacity of the AMX 30 1er prototype was increased" mean? Load as in ammo load? Thanks dude!

And if you were foolish enough to buy a tier 5 premium we will be nerfing them as we have zero morals and have zero regard for our customer base!

Stupid chinese Tds are not excited.

1. What is the Reasoning behind the tanks becoming “Collector” tanks and able to be rebalanced/nerfed?

Anko and Kuro were always described as “special” tanks yet the others were not and people spent money to get these.

2. As the Gravedigger, scavenger and now Vindicator and Predator were halloween tanks and now “collector” tanks, when will we see Blaze, glacial, is-3 defender, tankenstein, helsing and Dracula recive this status and be availible for rebalance/nerfs?

Edit:

Near end of Full News page the heading is still in Russian.

Nope. Current chassis capacity is lower than vehicle weight. It's kind of mismatch fix.

I tried to play a game in Jagtiger 8.8 and it sent my tank into a game but I was still in my garage. Please can you make sure this doesn't happen again since I lost a lot of credits from this glitch and also other players may think I'm inactive and report me when it's a glitch with the game.

1. There are a lot of vehicles with debatable status - researcheable, premium, event, special, gift tanks. In future there will be researcheable, premiums (with higher credit coefficient) and collectible (which can be received under certain circumstances).

2. First of all, moving tank to collectible group doesn't mean we're going to nerf it. We don't have any plans to nerf vehicles you mentioned.

As u mean "minor changes to the technical characteristics of the FV215b (183)" is not fair.

I guess you’ve got your data but was there really a need to break the M4 Sherman? This thing already has a relatively low dpm for a tier V medium and it’s the only tank that leads to three branches in the tech tree meaning one needs 90K exp to research all of them.

Hi RibbleStripe,

Thanks for your answers on this topic. I’m sure you can appreciate the possibility of nerfing premium tanks is always going to be a controversial subject.

The_Mighty_Wombat’s post doesn’t specifically mention all of the tanks effected by this change.  Can you also give us your assurance that the KV-220 and Pz.Kpfw.IV Hydrostat will also remain as they are, and not be nerfed once they become Collectors tanks?

Both of these tanks were available for purchase with real money.  I am concerned by the precedent this will set for nerfing premium tanks.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

on the update 'whats new' it says install the update and step onto the warrior's path, complete a series of events to get the type 59 and ding camouflage... what's the story with that?

Thanks for the reply.

It still doesnt change the fact that tanks people paid money for are now openly available to be nerfed.

The compensation is poor as I wouldnt buy a tank if I knew its stats would be nerfed.

If your going to change the status of tanks with “debatable status” then list why each one is now considered “collectable”

If your going to change the status of “event tanks” then change ALL of them.

It looks like your just being sneaky trying to change the less noticed ones and then when its too late you change the cash-cows drac, hellsing and defender. Then get the nerf hammer out.

Hey WG, can you please buff gun depression on Grille 15 at front a bit.
Waffle traktor is so flexible, quite mobile and has good camo rating, after grinding that tank we get a tank with meh camo, meh flexibilty, very good dpm and good mobility. It has -4° of gun depression at front and -8° at side, only if the front could have -6° instead if crippling -4°, if some enemy rushes you and you shoot them once and try to get behind cover and get ready up for next shot you might pass a bit of uneven terrian or obstacle which raises gun high up wasting precious potential dpm OR at final minutes of battle when you have to finish enemies it is quite hard at times to get a shot as going through any uneven terrian or obstacle raises gun high up and by the time you will back off or turn your turrent to side to use maximum gun depression, enemies would penetrate it with HE shells and/or get into cover. Minor gun depression buff will not make it op just bit more fun, thanks for reading c:

If we planned to nerf KV-220 or Hydrostat we would do that right away in update 5.7.
Once again, making tank collectible is not equal to its change. We are not interested in buffing and nerfing tanks without serious reasons.

It's kind of upcoming event teaser. We'll give you more info when time comes.
