I like that this tank has its historical gun and armour - and they make the tank a lot of fun! I really don't want them changed.
The nerfing should be concentrated on the mobility of the tank, which despite its slow top speed of 20 kph, is actually very good, mainly because of the very good power to weight ratio (which translates into acceleration).
I think both the engines are too powerful for this tank (1,000 hp stock engine and 1,200 hp top engine.) IMO, the engines deserve a massive nerf of -250 hp each (making the stock engine 750 hp, and the top engine 950 hp.)
This would dramatically cut the power to weight ratio of the tank to 6.25 hp/ton (stock engine) and 7.9 hp/ton (top engine). These figures are worse than those of the Mauschen (which makes sense logically). Slowing down the acceleration will slow down the wiggling and angling of this tank, making it easier to penetrate.
Hull traverse also needs to be looked at IMO. 20 degrees is very good for a tank this slow. That's the same as the VK 45.02 (P) Ausf.B and the E-100, and both of those are 10 kph faster. I'd bring it down to 18 degrees, making it worse than the Tier X Maus.
These changes would make the VK 100.01 (P) a very sluggish, lumbering beast, which struggles to keep up with its team at the start of the game, and struggles to quickly angle its very well armoured hull against a new threat from the flank.
