This is mainly a bit of advice for players new to the game. At the start you can either be patient and sit in spawn, not a bad tactic if your team is good, or, just simply drive forward with the biggest group until you meet the reds, the next bit is important, don’t use cover, sit in the open and trade shots, using cover will hinder this effective tactic...it will help if you position yourself side on to the enemy as this helps moving back and forth thereby giving you more effective range, or, turn your back on the enemy, which gives you more opportunity to make a strategic retreat. This should definitely work 99% of the time if your team all do the same. On the off chance it doesn’t, it’s your teams fault, so if you die because your team let you down, it’s crucial you message them in chat and give them some useful advice on where they went wrong...calling them noob is the best advice anyone can give, then they will immediately realise that they are indeed a noob and play better the next game. Now the next bit is the most important...as you progress up the tiers, don’t get despondent if these tactics aren’t working for you yet, it will be because you’ve simply been unlucky with your noob team, but the higher you get the better they will work, then when you reach tier X, you will finally realise that the advice I’ve given you is bang on when you will see everyone adopting this most effective play-style.

ps. don’t forget to keep giving people advice if you die, especially at tier X...good luck.

Gr8 advice, many players are following it and making the game better tactically :)

At last something we can agree on.

Though you forgot to mention the morale boosting 720 degree turret spin to initiate the battle. This lets everyone know that you are a tactical genius and they can count on you for a carry.

The best tactic of all, because it really surprises the Reds, is for you to find a prominent feature which gives you 360 arcs of fire.  Then sit there and don't move at all.  The only thing that should move is your turret.  You can see everyone and they can see you.  This works very well if you want to expose the Reds in their hidden firing positions.

If you are in a TD this tactic isn't so good.   What you need to do then is go as far forward as possible at best speed in front of your team mates and get in amongst the Reds as quick as you can.

Hopefully these wee wee pearls of wisdom will help newer players in their game.

Huzzah!

Tactics? Play this game as little as possible over the next two weeks of the easter holidays, especially the weekends. The quality of teammates always takes a nosedive during the holidays and if things couldn't get any worse Wargaming usually run a event during this time too.Double whammy! Ouch!

You miss the point there, it you spin the turret fast enough you may generate enough lift to be able to peek above an obstacle, shoot the enemy and sink again. Aiming is a bit more difficult but not impossible.

Also turret-less TDs pose a particular challenge in that respect but once you update tracks for improved traverse speed you should be fine.

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Time to die.

Do you apply these advanced tactics after 70% winrate?

As I don't have a sarcasm detector, I can't tell if this is real. I will give these a shot and get back to you.

You didn't mention the armour boost tip ... always you make sure you cover the lower front plate by pushing up right behind your teammates when they move out to fire.  This makes it impossible for the reds to Pen you and will help impress the greens with your commitment to team play.

One last one is never focus fire on low HP Reds that are swarming over teammates.   Instead only engage the most distant reds in cover ... wait as long as it takes for them to emerge this saves you ammo and earns respect too!

Another proof of being a real Tactial Genius is calling "All must go Left" in a Supremacy Battle.

Even more convincing, if you threaten anyone who don't want to listen to you to Report them !

A Brilliant tactic that will intimidate the Reds is calling out "Cap the Base" in Global Chat in the first

seconds of the Battle, so that all Reds will know where to expect your new OP Premium tier 8 Heavy

with Russian bias ( just bought with Daddy's Credit Card ) which makes you immune to their shells !

Press ‘battle’ then go and make a cup of tea.   Add sugar and stir for three minutes.   Return.   Press ‘battle’ then go and fill the car.   Return.   Press ‘battle’ then head along the corridor for the team meeting scheduled earlier in the day.   Return.   Press ‘battle’ then have a telephone conference.   Observe how your vehicle’s XP has increased due to your adroit play.

Noobs.

You all forget the absolute #1 pro tip.

Clean the barrel by firing off 2-3 shots first. Preferably at team mates, or cars.

Use gold rounds for an extra clean rifling.

And never forget to report the player with the big, slow tank who got left behind in your mad rush one way or the other, was surrounded by reds and killed before even getting a shot off. Inactivity in battle. How dare they not charge off in the same direction as you. Very bad tactics.

Bitter? A little, yeah.

Decide where you are going, tell the team and charge off. When they all go the other way and you get swamped, rage in chat.
Bit of a controversial one, that.

Remember, spend as much credits as you can on equipment and unlock those equipment slots.  This a WILL make you a better player.

Play counter-intuitively...

What better for camping at the back?  A heavy with an inaccurate gun at long range.

Scout in TD’s. Especially the Stürer Emil.

Best place for lights and medium tanks?  Spawn of course.

I always go left. Best tactic.

If you want team to go left with you, type “all go right”

If you cant decide which way, just drive forward till you hit something.

Dont forget the additional firing of the gun as many times as possible before any of the other team are visible!

Sorry should have read the whole of every post before responding!

I always go desert. So on Himmelsdorf, type “all desert” and everything will be fine!
