Hy fellow tankers,

I am not sure when it started exactly, but for me the last two-three weeks have been very bad in terms of lag. Sometimes with high ping-numbers, some times package loss, some times both. Usually with stringy, unprecise control of my tank, jumping/teleporting tanks etc. I have had a few game sessions with ok-ish control, but the majority of my games have been with absolutely horrid game performance.

My network is fine for everything else than this game, and I usully don’t have ping issues (at least not like this). I have met a number of ther players with the same issue. I was expecting it to be better now that the event and the x5 days are behind us, but it seems to be the same.

So, I wanted to ask you guys: Do you also experience the lag as significantly worse these days, or is it just me and a few other unlucky people?

Added my vote!

Not that it will do any good, WG simply are not interested, and it apparently seems to be their servers that are totally pushed to the limit, BEFORE any competition starts, and once a competition/or weekend noobfest start they simply cannot cope......

Ignoring llo1, who cries wolf all the time (sorry, mate, but you have more lag issues than any other player I've come across), I'll agree. I've had instances today of lag that happen with no additional load on the system or network at my end. Not much fun when your little French light tank does not stop behind cover but continues into the path of a big Russian derp, or your Comet can't pull back from the spotting position on Fort Despair.

Oddly we find lag 100 times worse in tournaments. I rarely have lag issues in regular games, but for some reasons tournament play has become almost impossible at times.

It's always worse before/after udates and during events. Now 2 updates and an event inbetween is perfect combination for continous lag. I'm playing less and maybe even got used to it, but it's not as noticeable imho as during previous updates/events.

and add the weekend to it, absolutely unplayable.

I actually had a pretty much lag-free gaming session last night, so maybe it is actually getting better. Yay :).

I have seen the statement before, but to me it sounds strange that an update should cause lag in the European server. I realize that probably the devs need additional resources to do the testing and stuff, but giving that the European server is far from Minsk, I would expect them to use the Russian server for such purposes. Also, if they have a proper setup they are not sharing the resources of their production environment with the testing environments.

It’s WG, proper setup, lol!

My money would be on them using EU servers for testing, they wouldn’t use RU ones and risk upsetting RU players, the rest of us are expendable...
