Just thinking, if most of the good players stop playing for a while, say for 2 or 3 weeks, the muppets will mostly be on their own. Will the border between muppets and normal players will be affected? Will this mean that the nonperformers will go into the normal queue as their winrate has to go up?

Or will the normal players go into the muppetsqueue, if they play on now, just because teams are dead in 1 minute and they have no chance to make some decent damage.

Or will everyone camp, just to get a chance for a few shots? Actually that is what i saw in my last games, no matter which tier between 6 and 10

I don’t think the new MM will put “poor performers” into a separate queue, only the absolutely rock-bottom ones. 45% players form the majority of the player base.

After trying a few hundred games I can assure you that the new MM is the same garbage we had before.  WG changes everything so that nothing changes.

somehow i encounter about 70% premium tanks on enemy team and they evaporate my team in 30 secs , maybe they fixed the mm so noob players get frustrated and go buy prems ? idk what they did but im with bots all the time :P

The reality is that we all have bad games ... It is pretty easy for the average player to die quickly ... wander around a corner and be hit with focused fire ... get tracked in a tricky spot... Meet a Derp Monster toon... not have anyone left to spot or be part of a less than stellar team.   

 

However, what I think is starting to emerge from the tweaks to the MM is that the very bottom layer of 'poop' players is being seen less often.  This means that whilst there can be Nil scores I am seeing fewer numbers of multiple nil scores in teams.  This is exactly the sort of effect one should expect if the MM was doing what is suggested it is there too try and do. 

 

Pre- 6.2 it was not uncommon in every session I played to see quite a few triple or double nils in green (or reds for that matter) teams-- I suspect I have see this happen a lot less since Thursday.

 

It would be nice if some of the Python gurus could run a bit of an analysis in due course to see if this is actually the case or if I am suffering from an unaccustomed instance of optimism   :unsure:

Imo you are just too optimistic, i played 3 games in WT and in 1 game there were some good or experíenced players. In the other 2 i had only had players with 2-3000 games, 1 mastery, 700 avg damage and no clue what to do in my teams. Exactly what you need in Tier 9/10 games, if you want to loose.

Senseless to play any more now

700dmg is just about average for all players and 46-47%wr
dont expect not to meet them
i guess everyone is expecting 60% players to appear and carry them

new MM is for players way below 45%wr and those with 200-300dmg and i agree with DumbApe they are far less afk or 1shot and die players than a month ago

Thats not realistic. 46-47% in tier 8-10, not the ones with 2k games, had about 900 to 1000avg damage a little while ago

 

 

Another thing i noticed, i have about 25 players in my frinedslist from -UN- over RA1D to NERV and the Mjr ofc, but since update, no one is playing

Exactly.

And to insist on that : 45% players will ALWAYS form the majority of the player base !

Mechanically.

Do not expect any MM system to change that or play rating battles.

 

(ok, players below 49% maybe)

MM is nothing to do with WR, and vice versa. One of Claus Kellerman's recent videos (British Light, I think) he had a guy on the team posting "XVM says we lose, I'm not playing" He rightly roasted him. I've had plenty to wins where analysing the teams after shows a horrible WR imbalance in red's favour. And vice versa. If it's getting you down, change tank, change tier, change your socks, whatever. I'd rather get a game instantly than sit for half a minute whilst algorithms try to match 14 players and tanks out of a theoretical 60 available.

Nobody can tell me that the standard or niveau of players hasnt gone down a lot. I know there have been lemmingtrains all the time, read it in german forum, but not this amount. You ll probably not find a heavy in 9 of 10 games, who is able to turn his tank and not go in the direction his tank is heading. And if he does, all the others will follow, no matter if TD or Light

I agree with you, tiers vi-viii are truly awful, I’ve not been playing ix or x as grinding on re-roll but I have rage quit last 3 days I tried to play!  I also took Friday - Monday night off the game to reverse my tilt but still terrible again last night and quit again, my WR was under 50% but even the wins were just no fun, all it was, was the red teams being even more terrible...

 

Blitzstars is wrong, it shows 46 battles for the 20th, I didn’t play 46!

Same here for the quit for a time, and a weekend break.....and still getting the total inability to influence a battle whether I score 3000 or 30 dmg!

Totally decided by whichever team is lagged more than the other, and which team has the lower number of AFK players!

Its not only that, i have afk-players and lags as well, more than once my tank kept driving long after i wanted to stop, got hit ofc. Take a look at your teammates after the game, You have to be lucky to have a player with 50% in green, but dont expect more than a few avg damage. And lots of sub 5k-games players, the majority to be honest, even in Tier X

I even see 40% players in my team, am I in bootcamp? :hiding:

New MM would be useful if it counts in millitary honor, worst players got zero honor and at least honor system would have some use and meaning.

Its awful now my WR has got worse and worse and I am nearly at the top and left all by myself most matches now or completely obliterated. Doesn't matter what tactic I try to use it just doesn't work and now we have the over flow of PAY TO WIN TANKS you know straight away your facing a loss. On Sunday night I played 14 games in a row in various tiers and different tanks to come away with 3 wins and bugger all damage its ridiculous. if I hadn't ploughed so much money into this game in the early days when it was good I would walk away.....

 WELL DONE WG YOU HAVE TRULY F ****D UP WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD GAME....

Wait till schoolbreak ends, and there is no weekend or event. Daytime i usually lose, but evening much better for me. More kiddo plays in daytime. Mostly around noon its impossible to win.
