I noticed that there's some folder named "Scripts" (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\World of Tanks Blitz\Data\Scripts). But all of the files seem to be encoded in some dvpl format and the text is hex encoded but includes some malformed characters. This got me interested, can you make Lua scripts for WoTB on Steam? If so, how do you make them and do you need some sort of encoder for that?

Honour those who were playing, and are playing the WoTB from the beginning, to now, up to eternity. We are legends now!!! filmin 2019-09-09 19:35

Currently waiting for all this madness happening in WoTB to fade, to start playing normally.

I can see some inheritance and some methods that seems to count something, but it’ll be impossible to understand what they do from those images. Nothing much shows up when you search .dvpl, most likely it’s some kind of a proprietary compression and Lua is used mainly for firmware development, OpenWRT is developed in Lua. It would be interesting to know what WG is using Lua for on the steam client.
