The other aspect of the system is the selection of heatmaps. Bearing in mind that the dataset is, in the main, limited to replays of good games, these sho very clearly the optimal routes and positions.

Uh, I would posit to say that the games are so heavily team dependent that it literally boils down to whether your teammates do their jobs or not.  More often than not, they don't.  Your best chances of winning are to defensively spot the hill so your camping n00b teammates can shoot something before dying.
