First of all, sorry for the off topic post.

I'm buying a new pc because my old one is having trouble opening simple apps like chrome too.

So...

My price range is 500-700 dollars.

I took searched a bit and decided on these specs-

Intel i5 10th gen

8gb ram

2gb Intel graphics

Is this enough to run blitz?

And is an Intel i5 10gen better than an amd ryzen 5 3500U?

Any help will be appreciated.

It’s enough to run it as it’s a better spec than my 4 year old laptop I run the game on, mind you that has an amd processor and radeon graphics card...

I’d say get more memory and better graphics card if you can...

Might be tough on that budget to get both though, so try and get a better graphics card an amd or nvidia one with 4 or 8 gb should be do-able...

When I bought my laptop I got it with the AMD cpu as it was more powerful than the intel version and a lot cheaper so I could afford a better graphics card...

Not had any compatibility issues so I’d recommend the AMD...

Is and ryzen 5 3500U with a Vega 8 graphics card good?

The cpu performance of the AMD is better than i5 and more like i7 so a lot better and graphics wise “the Vega 8 is faster than the likes of the GeForce GTX 650 Ti and GeForce GTX 950M as well Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 and Intel Iris Pro Graphics 580.” but they tested lots of games and performance was bad so I think whilst it will run you can’t use highest graphics settings and I think that will be the same for your intel setup, you need something with better graphics and that will be tough on your budget...

It's a mobile game that works on all sorts of phones and tablets. In fact, performance is constrained by the need to maintain backward compatibility.
I do have it installed on my PC, which is running a gen 4 i5, a decent but quite old Nvidia graphics card, 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD C drive. I run Blitz only to record video, but the game is optimized for the driver. Although I am using the Studio rather than Game driver, as it's a work rather than play device.
Basically, you'll be well in overkill on the spec you've posted. If you want to run proper games, and you're building a machine yourself, take a look at this site:

That's overkill for blitz!
Blitz really is very light.

If mobility and Blitz is your priority then an Ipad should do the trick. Apple products are not the best in price/performance category but they all have great longevity.

 

Gaming laptops are for economically illiterate. As the middle ground between tablet and desktop they are incredibly inefficient. 

 

The real question is what do you want out of a PC. Even a rig from the previous decade can run Blitz comfortably but surely handling Blitz is not what you exclusively want. In my case I especially use a low mid range PC as it is enough to comfortably run WoWS, AL, EU IV and Vic 2. I can replace it with something much stronger but that is unnecessary and to my amusement I realized that graphics become irrelevant in the heat of gaming.

An I pad is outside my price range. Imo, apple products are way too overpriced. And anyway, I suck at touch controlls.

The most memory intensive app I'll be running is  world of tanks pc or world of warships. I doubt they will run on an Intel i3 7th gen with 4gb of ram.

And I was looking for one that is up to date but not too costly.

It should be Able to run medium and low end games on medium to high settings and still have a bit of power to spare.

What do you define as low-mid range?

It would be nice if someone can post the optimum specs for the above useage description.

If an iPad at ~£350 is outside your price range, then your PC options are limited.

Edit: the WG site does give minimal and optimal specs for games. Worth a look there.

Edit 2: if your current box is Core i3 gen 7, the processor is fine. I'd say you could up the RAM to at least 8GB, if not 16GB, and replace the spinning tin HDD with an SSD within your budget. Is it a laptop or desktop?

if you plan to use it to play games go for ryzen - gpu is atleast 2times faster than intel uhd

in fact with vega8 if your memory is in dual channel you can even play WoT on medium/high without a problem

 

as for blitz that game run fine on 100-200£ laptops and 2in1's 

if you want it just to play blitz and other mobile games better go for good 2in1 for 300-400£ that way you save money and you can have both touch and pc controls

anything in the last 10years can run blitz

I assumed you'd wanna run other more demanding games and maybe even WoT PC...

if it's just blitz the i5 thing will be fine, but as noted the AMD setup gives more bang per buck and if you do have $700 this would cope with proper games not just blitz

I didn't know that I could get an I pad for that price.

And wg states the minimum requirements as 512kbps of internet which will only result in flying and teleporting tanks. So I don't think that I want to buy something according to WGs requirements.

Anyway, I've got a good laptop with a ryzen 3500U, Vega 8 graphics, 512gb SSD and 8gb ram for a very good price of 540 USD.

You did originally say 500-700 and I always reckon with computers use the top end of your budget to get the best spec. you can, especially windows ones as they get power crept badly in 2-3 years, I usually buy Apple as get 10-12 years! Use out of my iMacs...

You should be able to get a decent AMD machine for $300-400 like this one...

I did originally say 700 but then realised that a to get a pc better than one form that range, I'll have to go above 700. So I settled for a laptop from the lower range. I anyway don't have much heavy requirements.

I've bought one now so no need to give me more options but thanks anyway

And coincidentally, I've bought the laptop that you are suggesting in this post but with the SSD.
