I feel that with all the different languages you see in game, WG should add some sort of simple translator.

Mostly, quick commands are sufficient but sometimes you need a better form of communication.

Most players don't want to listen to what their team is saying but sometimes they do and being able to actually communicate with them mak s a big difference in the outcome of the battle.

Plus chat us distracting anyway so not seeing gibberish will help a lot.

Yes, that might be helpful.

How about you see chat messages in your default set language, there must be an option for chat near default language settings. Enabling it translates everything to your default language, and maybe having "Ignore these Languages" will be also good.

For distracting chat, you can give your own ideas. 'Cause I don't have any,

Chat distracting you, the solution exists...

Disable chat!

 

Chat does not contribute to wins.  Do an experiment, 100 battles with chat on and another 100 with it off, use Jylpah’s scripts and post the results for the 2 data-sets and lets see if “being able to actually communicate with them makes a big difference in the outcome of the battle”.  Let’s get some evidence... in your opinion chat is relevant, me, I think it’s irrelevant and is counter productive and the simplest solution is remove it...

Yeah, chat matters only if there is a teamwork-liking teammates.

With the keyboard layer coming above the controls buttons, it is not possible to use chat during battle. Except at the beginning when arrows are enough.

Then the ones having time to type, generally give their opinion about your skill level using words that are internationnally known, I suspect.

How do you do that?  I am using the keyboard to steer.  I was wondering the other day how you were chatting and driving.

I simply assume that if they cannot be bothered to speak English, then they cannot have anything positive to say!

Especially as the majority of the English comments also have nothing positive to say!

Big hands and I'm a two-handed 45wpm plus typist so can type a lot of swear words helpful advice quickly whilst driving avoid words with w in them

yeah WASD, I must turn left a lot as on my Mac keyboard the A key is completely blank, the others are fine, I've never really thought about it but I do tend to CoD in that direction and go left on most maps...

Well I can chat whilst driving on my iPad.......but recently have turned chat off, just so the total brain dead muppets cannot have an excuse for the MH abuse, and also so the unhelpful useless WG tickets have to accept that I am not contributing to the victimisation and bullying that they allow by the muppets who downvote everyone who don’t join in their noob suicide train!

Even google translate spent years and years to translate correctly. You cant expect a game company to add a translator to the chat. It will translate almost everything wrong especially when most players do mistakes when writing.

Dont find an excuse, learn english. Simple as that.

Fyi, disabling chat is entirely client-side. You still receive the messages and they will show up in the replay (if you enable chat and replay).

 

Afaik, WG does not keep track serverside if you have it disabled or not. So even if you don't have it enabled, as far as WG is concerned you can still get "Provocative communication" and it will be valid.

You’re right they don’t know if chat is disabled but as long as you have not spammed quick commands you should not get provacative communication but it’s still possible and there is nothing you can do because of the WG line of they can’t interfere with Military Honour, it’s just another classic WG ill-conceived and poorly implemented idea...

people can give you the downvotes and WG have said many times they do not interfere in MM...
