In the new update, we continued to refine the credit economy and introduced balance changes to Tier V–VI and Tier VIII vehicles by enhancing their traditional gameplay roles.

make it 1.5B then spend it all on next "galactic riches" event to convert them to gold :)

How can't you be wondering what the maximum number of digits available in this game is ? Maybe at 9 billions 999 milions 99... your tanks no longer wear turrets (yes Mario I am looking at you) ?

Not that WG has ever really cared about tank balance, but reading the Balance changes in update 8.5 is just sad. WG is buffing tanks that are already performing better than average and nerfing some that are perfectly balanced or perform below average.

 

ISU-152 (perfectly balanced already)

    Vehicle durability was increased from 1,010 to 1,100 HP.
    Hull traverse speed (stock suspension) was decreased from 25.76 to 20.16 deg/s.
    Hull traverse speed (top suspension) was decreased from 30.24 to 25.76 deg/s.

VK 168.01 (P) (19th best performing tank at tier VIII)

    Dispersion at 100 m was decreased from 0.441 to 0.412 m.

 

VK 100.01 (P) (7th best performing tank at tier VIII)

    Dispersion at 100 m was decreased from 0.441 to 0.412 m for the top gun.

 

Object 252U (the best performing tank at tier VIII)

    Aiming time was reduced from 7.6 to 6.9 s.

 

 

For me it seems that fresh potatoes still struggle too much in Blitz at higher tiers so therefore their favorite vehicles (Obj 252U, VKs) get buffed without considering how in the right hands these tanks become even stronger. Or then WG just simply does not care. Maybe they think experienced players are already half-way out of the game and new players present higher opportunity to sell more OP premium tanks. It is sometimes hard to follow the line of thought at WG HQ.

I think you're right. They just want fresh meat, long term players can go hang. Sold ammo from 8, 9 and 10 tanks today, netting a massive 2M credits. Pointless. Might just sell everything bar those I enjoy.

they no longer watch just wr
they made 10-15 types and balance according to how each tank perform his role

i think its great but how they plan to make players play those tanks like that is a mystery to me

Gotta admit this Isu tweak annoys me, it's just adding to the idea that TDs should just camp, I love my ISU and play is much more aggressively, usually I will run with meds or some form of flanking as I want to help my team control the map and I want to get shots at the sides and backs of tanks, and this nerf appears to be directed at preventing that.

As for some of the heavy buffs like the VK, 252u and ISx I am lost for words.

But I guess it's not all bad, after all we can all stop panicking about the OP stock guns on the cent 7/1 and conq as they are getting a 1mm pen nerf, I can play my tier 10s without fear of getting NSFWed by those broken Brits in their stock tier 9s :-P

VK 168 was below average tank, VK 100 was okay. I had better WR in second that is tech tree tank. 40-45 vs 50-55%.

exactly. How an earth they gonna balance the tanks according to their roles in measurable, objective manner and how they can get players to play the tanks as they have intended? :amazed:

The problem with this camping-for-the-win role that you leave the destiny of the game into your teammates' hands and that is a recipe for failure. ISU is not fast enough to compete of the good redline camping spots with the Tigers and OBJ 252Us...

WG is lacking in statistical analysis skills, and imaginative in make-believe-thinking on how players should play different tanks. Too bad.

Well, I can see that many people do have many credits. Everytime I play with my Jg. Pz. E 100, I lose money. In average 10k every time. Even though I got premium and win the battle. Most of the times I get Mastery Class medals. I don't understand it.

From playing a bunch of Standard B games earlier it appears that
- you get a flat rate for a win, whatever damage or kills you do  (edit) nonsense, obviously. 
- you get a flat charge for fixed consumables
- you get a variable charge for reusable consumables
- you get a bonus, marked as "for mission completed" for the Top Gun, Ace, etc
So
- not using prammo is good
- not using adrenaline etc is good
- killstealing is good
All in all, it's as stupid as I thought it would be.

Edit: however, I have come out in profit today. Mainly playing Standard B, so not using adrenaline. Vickers CR not so much. Being a long term non-prammo user probably helps.
