Still grinding Caernarvon, Centurion is sold already. I'm shocked by your stats with these, I thought Caernarvon will just be a way to shorten the stock grind on the 7/1. Anyway, the guide is awesome, hope I'll learn to adapt all the awesome stuff you described here. I feel this tank can't work when your team fails to get the job done. Usually it's an IS-3 or a medium that breaks through and around my cover. It's painful how the stock speed can't get me out of a peek-a-boo with someone having twice my alpha, with a guaranteed pen on the glacis.

I personally think the best option would be to keep them tracked in this scenario...if they have already used repair kit they should be permitracked

 

Stick with it though as the conq and cent 7/1 are simply amazing machines to drive.

I read and followed this guide. And used it saw through a lead pipe! It's so easy even I could do it! Still waiting for my steak knives though.

Great guide. I'm closing in on Caernarvon. Got alot of Battle Xp from another account (12K battles) but haven't played UK tanks other than AT15A. looking forward to trying out Caernarvon.

Maybe I should buy the Caernavorn then. Got it researched but still having massive fun clubbing down almost anything in my Black Prince, I haven't went the extra mile to collect the doe to buy the next thing..

Love my Centurion Mk 7/1 though. Best fun and still breaking even on credits. Not like the FV4202 that is just as fun but an expencive lady.

Sometimes I miss my Centurion Mk 1, pondering whether I should buy it back.

Thank you, glad you liked it   I am in the same, once I have finished saving for my next tank I do want to go back to the cent mk1 also.

I hated both tanks in the beginning, but now when they are both fully upgraded I hate them a bit less One thing that I am probably doing wrong with them is playing them aggressively. Let's just look at the stats and compare:

Our Survival is almost the same, my Spot. Avr and Hit rate are a bit better, but damage & kills - a bit worse. Unfortunately, we can't compare "damage with your assistance" because it's something I would love to see for these tanks. Here is Caernarvon's performance in one battle - I just rushed to the enemy spawn and spotted 6 of them till my teammates destroyed them in 2 minutes. It was 7:0 in 2 minutes 24 secs, but my main task was to survive there, so I was shooting less. So, what about Caernarvon as a Scout?

I find this very interesting as this shows these two tanks are not one trick pony's. I think I played this aggressive, I cant sit back, I have tried...its just to boring. I liked to accompany the faster tanks which usually meant I was front line but would often not be the first to spot. As based on your stats I assume you accompany the slower tanks more hence spot first. obviously this isn't the case for both scenarios as all battles differ but stats would give that impression.

 

I found both the types of tank the type I liked to keep moving or pushing forward in, i think with its really good load and aim time you have the advantage of being able to move quickly or slightly between shots.

Found this, having looked at other Caernarvon stuff, good'n'clear. I will get my head around this tank. Incentive mission for 3 wins in a row tin Tier 8 Britishers is focusing my mind...

Sold mine, need to learn hull down on something less expensive, bought M4. Caernarvon's a great tank when you get it right, but that was happening too randomly to be enjoyable.

loved the cent. you have to be careful about the rear though. experienced players will know that the rear of any cent is an HE hotspot. (you can tell i have be hit by a SU 152s 152 mm in the rear)
