I was just about to post 'Mockers you're slacking', then realised it's a Wednesday, and the wife is away, hence my 'room spinny state' :)

Mockers have you no shame?

:P

This popped up the other day on my Ipod...

And in the related videos, The Farm, saw them supporting the Housemartins in Bridlington, late 80's.

Do you suppose Timmy Mallet modelled himself on Buggles?

Talking of which I briefly caught Michaela Strachan on Springwatch last night, she's stil got it!! Which leads nicely, via wildtrack and sue ingle to......

The Farm...classic!

and to make you happy, something a bit obscure, Mexican supergroup Bosnian Rainbows (of Le Butcherettes and Mars Volta).

Their debut was hands down best album of 2013.

And as you can tell I've a thing for women doing really weird dancing....

I can honestly say i despised U2 all my life, they are pretentious anchors, but mainly because my sister played 'The Joshua tree', over and over and over and over....

Rattle and Hum pretty much sealed the end for me, and yes, Joshua tree was totally overkilled by my older brother too, but I still like their early stuff.

See also Simple Minds, If i never hear the opening refrain from Once Upon A Time it will be too soon, but their old post punk stuff is really good.

Top tune, great album.

Believe it or not their new album is much less terrible than their woeful output of the last 25 years.

Basically it's New Gold Dream written by Chvrches.

My last concert, these guys at the roundhouse last year (I don't get out much) from the best album of the last 20 years.

next gig....

Just returned from a weekend of booze booze and more booze, i was writing my will earlier after a particular vicious cramp in my leg when i thought it was the end, and after popping some extra strength nurofen, this popped into my head;

frick it, almost the weekend, I'm cracking open the booze in two hours anyway.

Just had a weird memory leap, and thought about this band for the first time in 20 odd years.

Anyone who says they don't like salad has clearly never seen it dressed in PVC........
