Oh man, that was like living in the 80's again...

Even though it did go on a bit :)  I liked it and will check out the album, quality video though...

I am a bit concerned though that maybe I'd choose the old boy in the pants and vests route out and I'm not a Tory MP, maybe I should stand for election....

Stop sniggering at the back...

I said eLection...

Puru, I'm not really sure where to start with your one dude :)

My boy loves Bastille. They're quite catchy and earwormy that's for sure.

It was a fantastic video!!

Holly has a new one, have preorderd the album on vinyl, out next week.

Noone else is making music quite like her.

Apparently she's done a PhD on composition and have heard her talk about medieval religious choral music.
I kind of heard a bit of this in that track.

how bonkers, just started listening to the brad new vampire weekend and thought the chorus sounded kind of melanesian.

Apparently it's a sample from the Thin Red Line......kerrazy!

Start from everywhere then. Do keep in mind not to finish nowhere though. As Tocquevillian neo despotism engulfs us younglings and make you folk watch in confusion, isolation and insatiable desires shall rise. Enjoy the ride. I for hell am.

Had to look Tocqueville up. Interesting stuff. However, I have hope that people will see through the tinsel before too long.

Nice one Mockney, what a magnificent caterwaul that is...

I’ll be checking the Album out...

What’s not to love about a Melanesian & Gregorian Monk mash-up, I’m sure I heard a hurdy-gurdy in there too...

That’s an excuse to get all medieval...

Oh and we need more songs with banjoes :)

WHat are the chances of being called Patty Gurdy and you grow up to be a professional Hurdy Gurdy player...bonkers!!

Surprisingly listenable as it goes. She's also very watchable :)

Obviously brought this cover to mind

And cos i couldn't resist

Lol funny enough it made me think of them too...

I like the way Sky used the original on Britannia, as it was a bit psychedelic, man!

Meanwhile, I was leaning on me lamp post and thought oh me oh my, we need more ukulele too ;)

keep on with the much maligned yokel intruments eazy, much enjoyment! :)

Stumbled upon these guys, probably cos the keyboardist is cute.

Shamelessly cheesy-yet-moody synthy post punk. But I'm a sucker for a driving bass guitar-synth combo

One of the comments says "Visage Updated", which is no bad thing in my book...

Lol, I hope you're not putting brass instruments in the yokel category, us Northern Monkeys love a brass band...

Seeing as the red half of Liverpool are happy this week, some chirpy, jangly, Scouse pop with brass...

but I do like a yokel tune too...

and back to my favourite Canadian band as these lads carry if off perfectly...

The lyrics are subverting the genre...

ok eazy, bot your usual bag i know, but just whack this on whilst you're doing something else, chopping onions or something, it's genuinely joyous.

I’ve been cheering myself up with some jangly scouse-pop but seeing how young these lads are makes me feel really old...
