Howdy folks!  It's the T29, the Rocky Balboa of Tier VII Heavies.  You can punch it in the face all you want, it keeps coming back for more!

Though likely I go to my Doom, my heart is valiant, my conscience clear,

and before it is my time, by God they will know that I was there!

Good stuff as always.

She is indeed an absolute monster ... she? Roweena Balboa?

Absolutely crucial to hull down or side scrape and needs support, even an M4 will crucify you if you end up in the open alone.

For my money I have to go with the KV3 though. Siedscrapes a bit better, the angles at thr sides of the turret bounce better (and it's wayyyyy smaller) though the front bounces much less obviously.

But that gun for my money competes a bit better agasint higher tiers.

There are fewer more satisfying experiences than lording it up in a tier 7 game with the T29 though.

I was just having another round in old Rockey there, had a GREAT battle, doing just shy of 4K damage, and 5 kills. Wouldn't you know it, I was exporting other footage and wasn't able to record the battle.  But!  I have a screenshot :)

Congratulations. Mastery is VERY tough in this one as it's a very popular tank that's easy to do well in. I've had some truly epic games but still only manaaged first level mastery.

The corollary of this tanks potential is of course that if it's the top tier in your team and they don't know how to play it, and I've seen that alot, your team is doomed.

I've just been having a few days of an awful grind on my PzIV to start up the TIger (P) route, and my first game back in a normal tank this mrning was good 'ol Rocky. 3K dmg and 4 kills....ahhh, nice to be back.

Nice work!

I was excited when I got to the Pz.IV, but I was soon frustrated.  That's one tank that I wanted to do very well in, but I just couldn't seem to catch a break.  Most of the time it felt like I had taken a knife to a gun fight, always seemed to be over matched.

Weirdly I found I generally played it quite well the second time around.

Low survivablity is pretty typical for me, but it has a lovely accurate gun, I was getting decent damage, the average dmg was soaring from my prevous time when I understood the game less, but my win rate just plummetted from 50% at the same time.

I just found it had the worst cursed MM.

Name           Tier Battles  Win Rate %       Survival %      Kills/Battle        Hit Rate %                   Avg Dmg   Avg Spot
Pz.Kpfw. IV   5   128
 42.97 (-4.64%)
 23.44 (-14.26%)
 0.71 (14.52%)
 84.41 (14.05%)
 659 (34.76%)
 1.2 (8.11%)
 Base Line   141   45.06   27.34   0.62   74.01   489   1.11

Good stats... I may have to revisit the Pz.IV, it bothers me that I let that one go before I was satisfied with it.

Excellent review of the T29, one of my most favourite tanks in Blitz. It is my go-to tank when I need to break a losing streak. Keep up the good work!
